Pretty easy, you just upload the cart, (and connect the database) set it up (payment gateway, options etc.). You call the host and tell him you want security on the download directory and he does it.

Then you go to the cart support forum (someone there is starting out just like you and someone else helped him out). There are a number of ways to do it and they have them covered in the support forums.

make sure you have ftp access to your log files and a log reader - you want to see if someone is stealing your stuff.

I'll pm you another decent host's number

if you have problems pm me I'll help you set it up

one of the great advantages of fpse is the ease of setting up a access db - for your site you won't need sql

Meta Tags ...

Hi ... are meta tags still useful? If so, which tags must a page include? There are so many meta tag possibilities, a noob, like me, is easily confused. Thanks for your ideas and advice.

I have seen a lot of debates citing that meta tags are ignored by Google and other SE's.

Personally, I would still have them included. Here is a good reason why :

Quote:
Still there is some value associated with this tag. Type the following into Google, Yahoo, and MSN only without the quotations, “dsrurejjnr“. This is a made up phrase that appears only in the keyword description tags of Real Good Furniture (take a look at the website’s source code). [note, some geocities spammy pages are listing it too]

Now look at the SERPS and notice that only in Yahoo does the site appear number one. It is not even listed on Google or MSN. The takeaway is that while the importance of this tag is minimal, Yahoo still gives it some weight.
Taken from this source http://www.searchenginejournal.com/t...g-in-seo/6014/

Hope that helps

RE:

Well, I'm confirmed that Meta tags are still very important for site rankings and we must introduce Tile , Meta Description and Keywords in our meta section.

tag allows you to influence the description and keyword of your page in the crawlers that
support this tag, this tag is more important for stimulating user interest and for getting people to click

Metas, especially the description and title are the most important tags so better use them wisely. These are some factors that drives traffic to a site

Hi ... again, thanks for all the great advice. Think I'm going to stick with title, description and keywords, to keep file size down. Thanks, again.
