That's just a lame technique, pretty famous now.
Actually even a porn site made itself a PR10 stealing Google PR lol, that is fun in a way though. But lame for those who work hard.

Try setting up a 301 redirect to www.google.com, wait until the next PR update, then pull the redirect - instant PR10! ;-)

Obvious as heck when you look at the back-links, since they still show Google. This has been posted publically in all sorts of places - slimey as all get-out ... and what's the point?!?

The Best PR rank so far is met at adobe.com/forum.asked some question and get some link back is what adobe best offer to all his client.

That post I just quoted was made in 2005. IIRC, Google corrected this issue in 2008. It has page rank 0 now.

The Page Rank has dropped to <0. Check out again.

Moreover, your page rank has no relationship with the actual SEO rankings of your website.

It is better to concentrate on the natural rankings rather than PR which is just a marketing tool similar to Alexa.

I checked the pages now, but the page you have mentioned doesnt have any PR. Also the home page PR is only 4 and not 5.

Ive been reading this thread for quite so me time now and I noticed that before that the URL from the thread starter's post was unranked. From PR4 and PR9 for its sub page and now unranked, does this mean google fixed this cheating of PR problem?

Maybe there's something wrong with the tool you use (or maybe mine). I tried to look the pr of the said page and it unranked while the main page is pr4 only.
