Please Critique my SEO strategy

First, let me say that this board is a wonderful source for information. I'm getting ready to travel down the SEO road and would like your help before I get started.

I will be in a competitive market place (real estate). My goal is to be at a PR5 within 6 months and within the top 20 for my keywords.

1) Optimize my website
2) Focus on free backlink services such as 1-3 in http://www.pheedster.com/directories.php
3) Pay for higher end backlinks (focusing on those with high PR) such as:

BlueFind (PR $50 One time???
SevenSeek (PR7) $40 One time???
Uncover the Net (PR7) ($40 lifetime)
ThisIsOurYear (PR5) $20 one time???
Wow Directory (PR6) $20 Lifetime for express listing, $40/year for Sponsored
GoGuides (PR6) $40 (with $80 credit at links2go.com)
Skaffe (PR5) $40 one time
JoeAnt (PR6) $40 one time
Zeal - (PR ?
Gimpsy - (PR4) $40 one time
Yahoo! - (PR10) $300 annual fee

I will initially be on a tight budget initially so I'm looking for the biggest bang for the buck. I have already purchased WPG3 because I really like the reporting. I'll be doing most of the work by hand however.

Please let me know of anything significant that I'm missing. I'll probably be purchasing Aaron's seobook soon as well.

One question I do have, I want to get the ball rolling on getting my site indexed although it isn't perfect yet. Can I submit my home page and rely on the crawlers to index and rate the inner pages? Or do I have to submit each page individually?

I am going to use that strategy myself for my dating site. Only thing you have not mentioned is keywords and other little strategies titles to get you where you want to be.

you will want to list at many more directories as well

I thought google was against tools such as WPG3? What's your opinion about it? Is it useful?

Thanks, I'm still working on the site a bit. I'm not the asian chick, she's a friend of mine I'm doing some work for.

awall - you said to list on many more directories. The list of free dirs at pheedster is around 200. I plan on doing as many of these as possible. Once these have been exausted I'll move on to some of the one-time-fee directories.

Or would you guys recommend listing with the one time fee directories up front to get the ball rolling.

As of right now, I'm not ranking at all. For those with experience, what kind of funds would be required to be in the top 10 or 20 in this market with a PR 5? Where else would you allocate funds other than listing directories?

I do not think it is all that useful but most sites probably do not get penalized for using it.

depends on the specific term but online dating is expensive and it should be up in the thousands or tens of thousands for most useful dating terms.

Your definately on the right track. One bit of advice would be not to concentrate so much on the PR of the home page of the directory/site, but the actual page that you will be listed on.

Your not even required to manually submit your site to the search engines. They will find your site (home page / inner pages) via links on other sites.
