Richard, why in the hell would you buy text links for a local business?

Look you have to compete with pest control companies in Atlanta, not the world.

Look at your completion in "Atlanta"

When people have big ole Atlanta roaches they want to find out how to get rid of them. They can do it themselves or you can do it for them.

You have to let them know you are there.

So you just have to create individual pages optimized for they're specific problem.

If i type pest control Atlanta who's site comes up? http://www.stingerpest.com/

How come?

Lets look -

they're keywords -Atlanta pest control, pest control Atlanta, roach control atlanta, pest Atlanta Georgistermite bonds in Georgia,termite inspection Atlanta,Atlanta termite inspection

Your keywords - Atlanta, pest, control, urban, wildlife, animal, bat, beaver, professional, squirrel, raccoon, dead, bee, removal, nuisance, attic, relocation, live, humane, trap, grey, gray, peacock, skunk

Think about what people are going to type in - not "Skunk"

"skunk removal Atlanta"

Then put a link on the page that says "skunk removal Atlanta guaranteed"

They're page load time - 56 seconds 56k
Your load time - 36 seconds 56K

(so the guy in the number three or 10 spot with a 14 seconds load time gets more people who will read the pitch than number two and three, because I got roaches, I want a pest control guy and I don't have time to watch a flash object load and I got a search bar I can click as many times as I want to find one.

Worry about your own links do you have any that says "Atlanta pest control"?

And once you click on it does it take you to a page that says stuff about Atlanta pest control?

Google and the other search engines wants to make sure their searchers find what they are looking for. Give it to them.

How about flea infestation Atlanta, Fleas Atlanta, roaches Atlanta, Atlanta roaches, Atlanta fleas, kill roaches Atlanta and on and on

Build a page or pages for each and tell them who, what, when, where and why

How would your links look?

Control Flea infestation in Atlanta,
killing roaches - Atlanta

You have no completion they all (Atlanta pest control companies) had some "web Designer", that sold them a flash banner.

What are people looking for? Put up the information for them.

The problem with most so called web designers is they will give you what you want.

They should tell you what you need.

While this is a good start, a few high quality inbound links (from directories or other pest control sites) with the same or similar anchor text will make it easier for search engines to rank the site #1.

My advice is sound. Internal links with the right anchor text are only a start; they are limited. For example, they won't get your site indexed while links from external sites (hopefully) will.
