Google vs Yahoo vs Msn

while it is sometimes hopeless to optimize for Google I found it easier to do it for Yahoo still not sure about MSN. Msn seems kind of unpredictable. What is experience with Yahoo and Msn.
While it seems to me that Google delivers much more traffic it has relatively very optimised search results, that sometimes do not deliver users what they want. I use www.yahoogooglemsn.com to compare results. It seems that results from yahoo little clearer. In my opinion this is due to the huge amount of webmasters trying to optimise for Google.

For me it's been a lot easier to optimize for MSN than any other search engines. Actually, I don't even try to optimize for MSN. I optimize for Google but found my site in the top 10 on MSN for several of my keywords anyway. Even though my site has yet to make the 1st page on any of my keywords on Google, I still get more traffic from Google than MSN. MSN is a great search engine. They're very fast to crawl and index your page. I just wish more people use it.

I've had similar results. MSN was the easiest to get ranked on, it didn't require a whole lot of effort. But at the same time, changes I've made to my site, along with a large increase in incoming links, has not changed my positions on MSN since they were originally set.

Yahoo took a little bit more time but I've found that increasing incoming links has vastly improved my Yahoo rankings, and they change a lot more often.

So far I can't get ranked really at all on Google despite all my best efforts. At best I'm position 600 or worse on terms that I'm in the top 20 for on the other two engines.

I think MSN can go a long way to gain new users if they just redesigned their search portal a bit. The MSN homepage looks cluttered and monochromatic (bluish). MSN's functionality and features are very similar to Yahoo, but Yahoo is much more lively and elegant-looking.

I get most of my traffic from MSN. Many of my pages are ranked high in MSN and Yahoo but can't be found anywhere in Google.

MSN is a great search engine and usually provides a much more useful search results than Google. I'm losing my interest in Google. I think Yahoo and MSN are more powerful.

MSN is way off for adult search results. Totally unrelevant non related stuff comes up most of the time.

I did love it for a while though when I had a site #1 for the most searched for adult keyword in the world that only lasted for about a week though, and then no where to be found.

Well, thankfully I didn't have this problem with any of my sites! Was your site about online business? Was this problem when MSN search engine was launched first? Maybe they improved it and that's why the problem has been solved.

As for MSN bringing non-related results, I usually get more relevant results in MSN than Google.

Obviously MSN is tweeking...
It seems that the density is VERY important.

If you type magicien in MSN, the second results is kind of interesting,
[www.****-imperial.com]

If you use Firefox to view it... look at the source because only a blank page is showing up... bad use of a frameset!

I've found MSN quite easy to get into once indexed
in Yahoo (free of course).

My top keywords give an index listing of #1 in yahoo plus 4 additional
indexed first page listings and transfer to MSN to a #1 indexed listing also.

Before you poo poo this, some of the first page indexed (most
#1) listings for my top keywords are listed in all the top 10 search
engines (first page) Plus many of the bigger PPC engines for a site
that is less than two months old and another just over two months.

The really great thing about this is it's done with blogs that
link to the URL. Some of the first page listings are in the 70 million
returned index link categories.
