SEO inc banned?
Does anyone know what happend to SEO inc. on google? They used to be listed #1 now they are no where to be found for keyword 'search engine optimization' and keyword 'seo'

It seems to me like most of these guys are crooks. I've thought several times about contacting one just to see what they do, then as I was reading different forums, I found out and would never contact any of them. It goes from what I would call grey hat to black hat techniques.

Why would a site get banned for requesting link exchanges? I thought this is common practice and not against googles 'laws'

Are you guys referring to www.seoinc.com? The site still has PR7, so it is not banned by Google.

Here is the thing that happened to one of my sites http://www.mrpiercing.com/. in October Google stopped liking me and cache:http://www.mrpiercing.com would not show anything.

Nowadays this site is back in cache and Google even spiders it. I did not do anything.
So I think it was not a ban at all. May be 302 Google glitch.

SEO Inc is a well known site that had millions of backlinks. a site like that does not just fall out of the index.

the terms they were competing for were hyper competitive, and they may have got the boot for renting too many links.

its not for everyone, as its a $20,000 commitment at the door and there are tons of links on the members page.

I think if you can afford it then its cool as you get to help shape the structure of the web. in a few months if all is well I may join
