The elusive Google...

Hi there.

I have been running my site (PC Help Forum.com) for about a year now and have never really paid much attention to SEO...I know, very bad man

Luckily, I have achieved No1 in MSN for my primary keywords "PC help" and also No1 in Yahoo for "PC help forum". I am by no means a web expert and find it a bit overwhelming when I read SEO articles about optimization for Google (for me the holy grail). Is there a process for people like me to follow to at least gain a relatively decent Google placing? I am currently ranked a pathetic 40+ in Google for "PC help forum" and would like to improve on this.

Any help or advice is appreciated.

Get Inbound Links. Get Reciprocal Links from other Sites. Find ways for other sites to link to your site with PC Help in the link text. For Google that matters most.

When you say the link text do you mean the anchor text? I have heard that phrase...

Yep, the anchor text is what is meant.
