Yes

Heading hierarchy is important for many reasons:
  • It defines the structure of the page. H1 would be the title of the page.
  • Makes it easier to scan the page. Web users scan, they don't actually read until they find something that catches their eye like a heading.
  • For accessibility the screen reader lets the reader know when they get to a heading

H1 tag plays vital role in any web page. But the maximum limit that we can use this tag per page is only one. We can use other tag that is H2 tag and other tag as much time as we want.

The heading of all the pages can be given in H1 tag. Since it has some points to get high page rank in search engine result page.

Sites can rank well with or without H1 tages, but they do help, they are given consideration along with other factors of on page payout structures.

Using H1 tag is good for ranking but it's not necessary, you can use other tag like H2, H3, H4.

According to me, If you use H1 for all the heading in all pages then it may look very common and it can be easy for the user to predict the heading and it also helps the site to get good attention on Search Engines...

First of all, did any of you read this reply? http://www.v7n.com/forums/seo-forum/...ml#post1430316

Use heading tags appropriately
Heading tags (not to be confused with the <head> HTML tag or HTTP headers) are used to present structure on the page to users. There are six sizes of heading tags, beginning with <h1>, the most
important, and ending with <h6>, the least important....

...Multiple heading sizes used in order create a hierarchical structure for your content, making it easier for users to navigate through your document....

...Avoid:...
erratically moving from one heading tag size to another...

In my opinion, I don't think so. I am using wordpress and I don't set up H1 or meta keywords.

I just set up title tag and make sure content is keyword rich. Google shows a nice description everytime they list my website.

Why wouldn't you?

I would always recommend using H1 & H2 with keywords contained within. Remember, you can use the same formatting as body copy - so don't worry about the presentation from the search engines' point of view.

<h1>

<p>bla bla bla</p>

<h2>Title Link Company Name</h2>
<p>Bla bla bla about title links</p>
<h3>service area of title link</h3>
<hr />
<h2>Title Link Company Name</h2>
<p>Bla bla bla about title links</p>
<h3>service area of title link</h3>

and so on?

I wouldn't put your company name inside H2 within the webpage. Certainly not twice - unless it's one of your keywords!

Don't think about optimization with H1. Use the H1 to HELP your visitors know what the page is about.

So, you already have a <title>. Why would you need a title on the page as well? Titles may have your company name in it. When they save the link into their browsers, they should know it's from your company and how it is categorized on the page. For example:

Header Tips - SEO - Internet Marketing - Carnavia

And the H1 would read:

Header (H1, H2, H3...) Tips for Search Engine Optimization and Increasing Website Traffic

Think in terms of people visiting your pages. NOT ROBOTS. Do not put keywords in your header tags for the sake of targeting keywords. Just write the most appropriate titles and Headers. It will attract people.
