Number 1 for targeted Keyword, Now To Next Keyword

My site www.swordfishingcentral.com is currently number 1 for the keyword "Swordfishing".

While swordfishing was somewhat competitive, I would like to go after a much bigger keyword set " Big Game Fishing".

I think it makes sense that I shouldn't mess with any of my backlinks and to start getting a new set.

What do you think?

I would just make a sub page that's all about Big Game Fishing, in content, title with text links from your home page to it.

I don't think that will be enough... I should of targeted "Big Game Fishing" in the beginning. I would have tons more traffic.

I have tweaked a few of the pages out. We'll see what happens.

Why don't you write articles about big game fishing and have the backlink to your site in the article have Big Game Fishing as the anchor text.

Again, I don't think that will be enough to get Top 10 results. I am implementing a little bit more agressive strategy, I'll keep you posted.

You might be right, but if you wrote articles and then use that list of places (http://v7n.com/forums/showthread.php...ewpost&t=19973) You could have hundreds if not thousands of link pointing to you. That would certainly help.

create a subdomain named Big-Game-Fishing.domain.com then place your article inside that page in order to help you get the rank you desired.
