I found this very interesting article from smashing magazine. Its all bout the best SEO tools to help us on our SEO efforts. These tools might come in handy!

Cool, that's helpful! It's from a few years back though so some things like kw density isn't as important as it used to be. Also, there have been a lot of new helpful resources/tools that have come about in the past four years!

Yeah bit of an old post there buddy, check out the free tools from SEOBook and SoloSEO has some great paid services for finding the best page to request a back link from on your chosen websites.

mmmm that list is a little old. For the purposes of update, here are some of the tools that we have found useful;

Web CEO
SEO4Firefox (from SEOBook) - magic for seeing what your competitors are up to.
Opensite explorer - great for checking the best places to scrounge links
SEO Toolkit (From SEO MOZ) - all round SEO goodness
bthomson's pagerank checker (because you can list up to 100 pages)
Directory Critic (for relevant article and directory search)

And of course;
Google Keyword Tools (even though the results have been unreliable at best)
Yahoo search (for backlink checking)

We also have our own collection of search engines we built using Google Custom Search.

Anyone else got any Gems?

Great softwares you introuced here createdevelop specially Opensite explorer which was totally new for me.

Here are some more seo tips...
1 social bookmarking
2 social marketing
3 link building
4 blogging
5 article submission
I think all these tips are very effective to generate a lot of traffic....
