My thought exactly.

Murtaza, I did read the articles and now my head hurts. I'd be happy to give a review if you want.

Wow! I never knew all search engines weighted all parts of a web page the exact same way! That's extraordinary!

Actually...

Actually this is meant more as guide lines as clearly stated in the article... and all engines weigh differently but bottom line <title> & link popularity weigh in the most.

Link Pop also related to WHO IS LINKING you.

Same IP .. PR.. DOmain name etc..

It is not wirtten in stone but there as guidelines.

Also in SPider Frindly Article as Well as markleting article they ar etheir to HELP.

These articles are there to simply be guides and for you to make your own educated decisions.

The contributation of many helps each other.

Your negative outlook on this subject matter really does merit a response but I felt the need to explain this to you.

Also where did you find spelling errors?

please paste so i may correct and you can actualyl contribute something back.

I am very appreciative of your feedback on my articles but I would ask you to be more open minded.

If I had the million dollar piece of code to take over the engines it would not be public knowledge. But I would *guide* people on how to weigh in their sites just to give back to communities that have helped me in the past.

Finding articles that you like and saying that they are great is one thing. Writing them yourself and claiming that they are great is another.

What I didn't like about the marketing article is all you did was ask questions. It's called marketing tips, but all you do is ask questions and not give any direction on how to get to the answer.

For example: Is the product marketable?

What makes a product marketable? Is it sales? Is it having something someone wants or needs? Typically a WELL written article will not only post the question but also answer it. It's like saying you have a great car because it starts.

Another example: Mailing lists that you have created. Stay away from opt in list but instead create a free promotional product to give away.

First of all if you are creating a mailing list it should be OPT-IN or it is considered SPAM. OPT-IN mailing lists are a billion dollar industry and CAN get you lots of business if it well planned and targeted correctly. If you offer travel and you buy a gamer opt-in list. Bad idea. If you offer travel and you buy a travel opt-in list. Then you will see a pretty decent ROI.

I can go on and on. I will however point out that you did put some decent advice in certain sections of the article, but it is poorly written. To me it looks like you copied and pasted from various article throughout the web. But I could be wrong and I don't have the time and energy to find out.

As far as the typos. If you can't find them how can you be writing articles that will help others? I have been in marketing for almost 20 years and I have never heard any of my colleagues refer to marketing as "the efficient creation of customers" or "an intellectual activity". I have been in IT for over 10 (transitioned form marketing to IT) and "keeping the latest technology on the frontline will drive visitors to your site giving the customer the sense of security & productivity" is very vague and questionable.

Being in the business and dealing with multi-million dollar accounts, it is pretty simple. Marketing is NOT tactics. People associate marketing with tactics like "advertising is fun" or "promotions are fun". Marketing is about customers. You have to analyze your customers and have a solid understanding about how your customers behave, what are their motivations, perceptions and preferences. If you don't know this information you might as well flush down your marketing dollars.

SO, WHAT IS MARKETING?

Marketing is, in fact, the analysis of customers, competitors, and a company, combining this understanding into an overall understanding of what segments exist, deciding on targeting the most profitable segments, positioning your products, and then doing what's necessary to deliver on that positioning.

Not trying to offer anything negative just constructive advice. If software development is what you do best, I would stick to that. Although, I would consider myself as an expert in the field, I still have much to learn with new trends and new technologies and I often consult with other experts in the field because no one person can do it all alone.

I think if you focus and clarify your articles, they could be useful and yes, spell check! Maye instead of saying marketing tips it should say marketing guidelines or checklist.

Very fair assement.

In these articles they are to give you a guide not really hold you hand because everyones market is different.

Opt in List are a huge industry yes but for the most part these are scams by the big wigs .

But lets not confuse this. a LEGIT List.. such as creating a NEWSLETTER is very effective when I say Opt in (and maybe its my phrasing) I mean don't go BUYING in to to safelist or opt in lists.

Thats what I meant.

The "Questions" there are more lie a check list.

You need ot answer them yourself and see where to go from there.

I see your point though.. you think I should give examples for each question...

Thanks for the feedback.
