Hey guys, I am trying to rank on front page of google for my real estate site. I have more backlinks than one of my competitors. I even created some backlinks in .edu site and still not showing up on google. Can anyone explain why this is this case?

What are you doing to target the keywords Gulfport Ms Homes For Sale?
You should add the keywords you are targeting through your pages, in the meta and description, alt tags, h1 header, titles and so on.

But do you have in the text these keywords ? You must have good content on the page too. The links seems to be not enough. The rankings are almost always a combination of good content with good links. The content from this moment is not enough to be important for Google.

Yeah you would need to do more then anchor texts. They might get you a back link or few, but yeah, them alone wont rank you on first page of google.

When I searched google for that phrase without quotes, most of the hits showed pages that didn't have that exact phrase. For example, a lot didn't have the "ms/Mississippi" after "gulfport," or had "gulfport ms" quite a few words away from "homes for sale."
So if you're wanting to rank for that exact phrase, looks like it would be possible if you have that exact phrase as a keyword throughout your website. I didn't notice it on the homepage or the source code. Of course, you don't want to overdo it and hurt your rank by keyword stuffing, but I'd put that exact phrase, I mean exactly, as an alt text tag for a photo, as the title of the page itself, as a headline on the page, and a couple times in the text, and see if that helps, give it a few weeks, and if not, then add it a few times more.

Your home page only states "Gulfport" once, and your target phrase is never used.
Anchor text is a way to boost a phrase but you have to use it on your website as well.
Try adding it into your page titles. e.g.
Gulfport Ms Homes For Sale from Home with Equity

Your heading titles are; Home With Equity, For Sale, Cheap Properties, etc...
You should probably expand those to better match search inquiries.
And your Gulfport page is "Great Home In North Gulfport - Price To Sell Quick, Gulfport."
Maybe you could tweak it to "Gulfport Ms Homes For Sale."
(like your keywords)

Well, SEO is not all about LINKS. I mean, having a huge number of backlinks using your targeted key phrases for your website will not guarantee you a top spot on search engines result pages.
As what I can see, it will be better if you're going to modify your website's title and meta description. You can try using your targeted keywords + your geotarget + name of your business as the format for your title tag. Make sure not to use more than 70 characters on this part.
Example:
Homepage/About Us page - Real Estate Company Gulfport, Mississippi - HomeWithEquity
And on your meta description, I suggest you to incorporate your targeted keywords (warning! do not spam haha) into your description and be descriptive about the information that they can get from a specific page of your website. I also suggest not to use more than 160 characters on this part.
Example:
Homepage/About Us page - HomeWithEquity provides high quality houses and other real estate properties at affordable prices. Contact us at XXX-XXX-XXX for more info.
BTW, I'm having a hard time seeing your actual website. I encountered an Internal Server Error page. I just went to Google and look for your website's cached pages.

Heck, a couple of months ago I didn't even know what SEO meant.
The good news is, you're at the right place. Even if you make a couple of changes suggested here, I bet you'll notice a big difference.

I'm probably the wrong person to ask, but my approach is a cautious one.
Meaning, when I get to a point where I'm saying to myself "eh, this might be a little too much repetition" I back off.
I try not to use my keywords here, as not to advertise, but...
Instead of repeating window cleaning, window washing over and over.
I used the phrase "window cleaning in michigan - residential & commercial washing."
This informs my customers that I offer both home and office... but yet still includes 5 of my biggest keywords.

Don't worry about keyword density.
Remember that you have to be attractive and readable to your potential customers.
Write for them, while knowing what keywords to use in the back of your head.
If it start getting hard to read, then your density is too high!

Can you change anything on the web page yourself? If so, I bet you could do a lot without finding or paying anyone else, since you already have good backlinks.
Just changing the title of the page (where it shows in the browser bar) and the heading (the headline on the actual page) to "Gulfport Ms Homes For Sale" and adding the phrase once or twice within the text might be enough to make a difference.
If you can get into the html code at all, you can look for where the title of the page, the heading and the text are now, and just change the words without touching the code. It's the kind of thing that even an html dummy like me can sometimes do.
