No follow links would have no effect on the page ranking. Nofollow links don't link to your website and thus having no change.

Hi, amrish2338

Generally speaking, all back links from decent sources would correct keywords as anchor text would benefit your search engine ranking for certain keywords, no matter dofollowed or not.

all the best,

Nofollow links will not influence your ranking as it does not pass pr link juice to your site.

Nofollow is a big factor for SEO.

Backlinks is like a vote for your website from another website. Take the dofollow backlink as a yes vote and nofollow as a no vote. Now think that if your website get all the vote "yes" then won't search engine doubt you? That is why you need nofollow links too.

No matter the link is dofollow or nofollow. The matter is how much the link is qualityful.

Nofollow links are the Links that are not able to pass down their PR to other sites.
Quality back links are links that are able to pass down their page rank to other sites through the presence of a back link placed there. It is important because these links and their passed PR can give you a ranking advantage, change the way a search engine looks at your site for the better, and boost your position in the SERPS.

Nofollow links can still help a site be indexed even if they pass no link juice, and they help with a site's overall link diversity which is also important. Each search engine handles these links a bit differently and their algorithms are always changing, so it's best not to discount these kinds of links.

Nofollow backlinks are useless for SEO but they are not useless as a whole because they still help to drive traffic.

It seems to me that nofollow are almost votes of no confidence.

It's like saying "yeah, here's this guys link... but we don't stand behind it or back it."

Your PR is affected by the PR of your back links except if the link is nofollow. If you have a high PR website, you're better using it to make sure site you don't give too much to them

Don't worry about nofollow links. Sure, the preferred ones are dofollow but nofollow will help with driving traffic to your site. My advice is is still use nofollow links but you need to combine them with do follow as well. Any type of link should be worthy enough to have some sort of return (if that's what you're looking for) and the most important thing is that they come from related, quality sites.

That is what some quite often preach when the subject of nofollow links comes up but some also use nofollow links on their own sites because they believe it saves spreading your own PR throughout the site too thin to "unimportant" pages (PageRank sculpting).

I don't really see the point of including an outside link if you are going to mark it with nofollow if you are of the belief that is what it means.

when Google sees the attribute rel="nofollow" on hyperlinks, those links won't get any credit when we rank websites in our search results.

According to SEO no follow link is not helpful because search engine won’t follow the link but quite helpful to generate traffic.

Thanks for the link... I had never heard of PR "sculpting" before.

Let me see if I'm grasping this at all...
Page rank points can be seen in a similar way as points.
Eaxmple: You have 10 PR points and 10 links
- before nofollow each lkink got 1 pt.
- When nofollow came about, the 5 regular links would get 2pts. and the 5 nofollow's would get 0pts.
- Today, the 5 regulars would get only 1pt and the nofollow gets 0pts.
So, you don't get 'extra' points for your regular links, by tagging the others nofollow.

Am I on the right track?

No follow are the links from where you are not allowed to get the link juice or you can say that they does not helps in getting PR.
