Hello,

My question is this,

Can you maintain a Google Page Rank of 4 with only 50 or so websites linking to you. I recently stopped using a services that gave me 1600 links. Now I only have 50 or so websites linking to me. A few of the websites linking to me are page rank 4, two are Page Rank 5, one page rank 7 and one not so relevant Page Rank 8. The rest are directories ranging in Page Rank from 0-3. I just started auctioning links on my site, but worry that my Page Rank will drop and I will have to refund the money.

Also I would be interested in a SEO consultation on an hourly rate, if any one qualified is interested let me know.

PageRank calculation is based on both the quantity and PageRank quality of your incoming links. PageRank can decrease if you lose some important links that are no longer linking to your site. PR loss can also occur if some of your linking partners also experience a drop in their own PR. As long as you follow good web site optimization techniques and maintain enough quality incoming links, the index will eventually assign your website PageRank and adjust any changes which may have been made in error.

You can maintain a PR4 with just a couple of links from PR5 sites, given that the PR5 sites have few other outbound links.

you can make easy PR by just doing the rules i also woulod never pay any one for links etc etc

why do that, you can do it all your self just post on forums asking to swop links, also only swop links with people that have good PR and related site it dosnt matter if they havent but it will help

and always remeber never link to a bad site ie. small, hidden text or links allways look at the site up and down and do this

ctrl+a this will highlight the hole page showing any hidden text etc etc, cos if you link and google ban then but you dont know they will take you down with them OK

I think you are worrying about PageRank for the wrong reasons. PageRank is just valuable in that it is an indication of inbound links - and inbound links are the real thing. Don`t worry about PR - woory about inbound links.

try to get your website listed on some directories, it is helpful for your PR. for example, addurl-free.com or www.maxlinks.org . both are good PR directory
