Where appropriate (I mean without blatantly hijacking other forums), members can spread the word on their own sites, blogs, signatures in other forums, etc., although, like the current Canadian federal election, people probaly aren't going to pay a lot of attention until after Christmas. I've already started doing that with this contest as well as the graphics contest at another forum.

I Don't think I will, I'm in the middle of another project that will take enough of my time as it is. If I had the time I would have I guess, I did give it a thought or two. At the other hand I'm sure I will find the time to monitor the contest, it's interesting and educational at the same time and I won't miss it. |

I think people would be fine with it as long as you lose. Badly.
Not sure how that would fit with the image you are trying to promote professionally though...  |

lol no i cant haha i am staying well away from google at the moment they really do hate me so if i stay away they might pick on some one else hehe
My sites are not that old so there not ranking in google correctly yet but i am ranking very high in other search engines so i just stay away from google at the mo
see how i go in the new year i might give it ago the prize cash sounds nice |

You could use your blog to do it - get a bunch of friends to help put a page on your blog in the SERPs for the KWDs.
