Flash and SEO

Lets say the site is mainly in swf format in an embeded html. Is there anything to do to get around the fact search engines only see swf on load.

Tricks anyone has come apon?, Some of my sites are mainly flash which I've noticed is hurting me, would the best solution be to remake the site to be more text based?

Follow "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 ( http://www.w3.org/TR/WAI-WEBCONTENT/ )". As I'Brian said also, it will say to use the <noscript> tag.

There is no need to make them completely text based but the site must contain URL's for every page thus HTML based navigation for SE bots and other devises like screen readers. Blind users have money to spend and are active internet users so don’t ignore them (it is also UK and US Law). Flash is rarely need and should be only used for presentation and not content.
