I believe that Google has already hand-edited some sites and adjusted their algo or will adjust it because of irrelevant results generated for the contest.

Of course, I'd prefer to help somebody who talks up the community like this:

Most of the pages I see in the competition don't really have a message.

Wow! Thank you, John, for the compliment. Unfortunately for me I have learned a lesson already in this contest
That page is a redirect from a subdomain server to a page on my server. I did that because they have a directory which is regularly spidered by all the search engines and I have had those URL's indexed in just a few days in the past. So far that one hasn't been spidered yet, though. Then I finally went and read the Google FAQ telling how they prefer pages and they discuss cloaking and redirection and say it's a no no. I'm not being deceptive in the redirect. Was just taking advantage of the directory, but the link is cloaked. So I will tell you (and the world) the real URL of the page here:
v7ndotcom-elursrebmem
Now, if it gets indexed and the cloaked one does too, I guess I'll be guilty of putting duplicate content on there (even though it's only one page); so I'm finished before I start. But I've learned something and it's been fun

msn shows 37,858
[quote=JohnScott]MSN is blocking the keywords, you can get around it by adding something else to the search term:
http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q...+v7n&FORM=QBNO
MSN now show 37,000 results
jux2.com shows my v7ndotcomelursrebmem.org site in first place on google they also show a domain that is no longer listed still in 5th place So I am guessing the are caching results looks like I was in first for awhile I added 2 more links should get me first place in a few days LOL that bring my total links I added up to 7

thought i made this post but dont see it. Well anyway i was noticing msn with results including backlicks last night. I had to change the filter setting to strict. Well thats all i can contribute right now. Damn msn and yahoo are shwoing my older sites ahead of my new one. age is defiantely a factor. But my question is when they list a site in the index, they obviously have most backlinks figured when they list a site in the serp. my question is do they have they weight of the link calculated. or do they first fgo my sheer number and the relevancy of the link is factored like immediately or does it take awhile like when google updates backlinks is that when the weight of the sites giving the backlinks brought up?

No, not total deniability - that sounds like shirking onus.
The correct term is plausible deniability - a term and strategy invented by former lawyers turned politicians given to the creation of loose and informal chains of command in government, which allow controversial instructions given by high-ranking officials to be denied if they become public.
... sorry, couldn't resist - it's an election year.

When starting this contest I wasn't really thinking about how much traffic the sites would get but I am seeing a fair amount for a brand new site. Total hits so far are at 600 - the most popular pages are:
1 /serpsmap.php3, 227 hits, 60.10 hits per day
2 /index.php3 202 hits, 53.48 hits per day
3 /faqs.php3 25 hits, 6.62 hits per day
4 /thecontest.php3 23 hits, 6.09 hits per day
What sort of traffic is anybody else getting? I am on page 3 so I imagine the top sites get loads more than me.

I'm seeing 41,216 right now - screenshots at the VE for Celiac Charity site ... and one interesting thing is that while that site is ranked #14, it is ranking the top-level (estabilished) domain, NOT the actual (new) contest sub-page.
Not sure what conclusions to draw from that.

VE for Celiac results section has number of hits/day on the main contest page - was 426 on the 15th, 1,512 on the 16th, 2,154 on the 17, 1,206 on the 18th, and 272 so far today.
So certainly not a huge traffic generator, but a few people are checking it out. Should I add unique IP's to that table?

SER (Search Engine Requests) column added to the VE for Celiac stats table - there was zippo on 1/15 (no surprise), a bump up to 1,029 on 1/16, and then couple hundred the last few days.
