I've told some of my relatives about the carcasher contest a handful of times now. It's easier to repeat yourself w/out being made fun of when people stop listening after "SEO, well it means Search Engine Optimization, so you see..." because they don't remember a word anyways!

I wish it would stay that high. I see it jump up every now and then, and then it gets cut down again. Maybe a bunch of autogenerated pages being removed.

They were talking about that in the interview I think, a variance between the actual pages indexed and the pages showing up.

maybe some pages appear to be spam to the google's boot, like having more than 5 times the same word in the meta tags, etc.. so it gets kicked. but anyway, we still have a lot
