because the ads were not appearing for me and google ignored my emails for 2 months......i had them posted between each post ........uh and what did i see now google showing the same html setup i had 2 years ago........for their demonstration on how to optimize your ads.....the jerky boyz....but anyway yeah 2 motnhs they couldnt fix the problem i was making about 100 to 125 a week for a minute there and than the ads quit showing up and that was all she wrote. I learned though a proper meta refresh will not hurt your serps.....in fact http://www.myhivstory.com is showing on page 2 for the search term hiv news on google....way after i changed the page to refresh to blogspot.....and well im #1 yahoo and #3 usually 2 on msn for hiv news

Rank Badges - Now on YOUR site ! :)
Hi all,
Firstly, thanks Peteinoz, glad you like the tools !
I've not announced it yet, but the Rank badges are now online, and available for use (I still consider them in beta, as I continue with minor tweaks), but for now, you're all welcome to help yourselves.
Here's an example (as this is V7N it'll show V7N's rank) clicking on the badge then takes you to the V7N Score Card.
Because this operates from referrer info, you can quite literally cut and paste the source (into your own v7ndotcom elursrebmem pages), and it'll immediately begin working for you.
Enjoy !
JL

As I said over in DP, great tool John ... one suggestion for you is if the referrer is not passed, maybe default to say N/A rather than 0 (?)

Rumor has it that older domains with out the keywords in them are ranking well, so hopefully soon a page on a domain registered way back in 2/26/1997 will start showing up.

Hi Hulkster,
That's a good idea. I'll arrange that tonite. Actually, I'm about to make a few minor changes..
If the rank of the site is on the decline, then the color of the digits will be red, while green indicates stable or rising.
I will use NA - both in case the referrer/url isn't passed, and in case the site isn't in the top 500.
Already added is the url feature where you can simply append ?url=mydomain
that way, if there's no referrer, it'll default to the domain you pass. Keep in mind though that referrer data takes precedence, so passing a URL will only work if referer data isn't present.. a full example would be:
http://v7ndotcom-elursrebmem.nichedy...rl=www.v7n.com
If you wanted to see how the badge behaves without a referrer, simply type it directly into your browsers address bar.
As always, feedback is welcome
Cheers,
JL

yeah, I doubt you were un-indexed. from what I've been seeing, you are probably seeing results from a different datacenter that hasn't yet indexed you. give it a couple hours to circulate and you'll be up again.
I have this issue big with Yahoo, and little with MSN. y! shows one display that has an old desription during the afternoon. During the evening the datacenter they show with shows my new description, and the early morning dc doesn't have me indexed at all yet! lol.

I know what you mean. I have #1 ranking for a particular keyword and I'm afraid that if I change gears to early and start optimizing for other keywords then I'll lose it!
by the way, #300...lol.

I'm in the top 5 out of 53,100,000 for a keyword, and I upgraded the site to WikiMedia, and at the next Google update the site index was deleted or knocked to the black hole, but came back on the next update after that one.

good to know. my keyword only shows 2,300,000 results on msn. I have a long ways to go though, there are some great keywords out there I should start working for.

I have a site which is no.2 for a 2 word phrase that returns
over 2,100,000,000 in Google.
probably only brings in 10 visitors a day at the most though
I've got other sites which are top 5 for phrases that retun less than 20,000
and they bring in 5 times the amount of visitors (and earn money)
Not always best to go for those big phrases, niche, niche, niche is what I say.

speaking of getting indexed..
my competition site.. is a sub on a new domain that also has a new forum on the front of it..
20 pages in G
700 in msn
only
2 in Y
and this site has 9000 ibl's in yahoo..
never seen yahoo so slow on the pick up it used to be the otherway around..
