Something funny for ya..
You know this must be the fourth time I've visited in the past week, and on each occasion, I actually typed in v7ndotcom rather than v7n.com - this bloody contest is screwing with me !!
Cheers,
JL

An interesting find by Marcus (post #753) and discussion over at the DP V-E thread about some "funky" stuff Greg Boser has been up to that appears to be related to the contest - maybe he'll be a late entry (?)

New v7ndotcom elursrebmem satisfaction site
I was checking my domains and found a parked PR6 so I made a new v7n site
It was customerSatisfaction.us it made me think of the stones
I can’t get no v7ndotcom elursrebmem satisfaction,
I can’t get no v7ndotcom elursrebmem satisfaction.
’cause I try and I try and I try and I try to get #1 v7ndotcom elursrebmem satisfaction
I can’t get no, I can’t get no.
When I am searching google and my site is now where in sight
I am adding links and my site just sinks ...
read the rest and let me know what you think
You can post links in the forum

Referring to the Washington Post write-up in post #865 (above) ...
"For the curious, the first word is the name of Scott's site ( http://www.v7n.com ) and the second is "members rule" spelled backward. Scott chose the phrase as a symbolic thanks to the more than 100,000 registered members of his site's online forum."
A bit of a typo there I'd say, John.

I've not come this far to quit now - if he wants that #1 spot, he's gonna have to fight to hold it.

You just need to get them to put the link on the front page - PR9 backlink never hurt anybody ... ;-)
Speaking of which, are any PR9 sites linking to a V-E contestent ... I gotta believe that would provide some major mojo.

JakeCop: Are you the one behind the Transformer site? I've been following that one for a few months - some hilarious comments in your forum. Good luck.

Aye, that's mine. My boys on the forum can get a bit carried away, they need reigning in sometimes, but they're pulling in some massive (relevant) linkage. They're my not so secret weapon.

Ummmmm ... so what exactly is relevant to "V7ndotcom Elursrebmem" ... ;-)
Been fun watching you guys and a nice to see some unusual entries in the contest such as yours - glad to see you guys pop into the the top-10.
P.S. How 'bout having your guys make up some V-E transformer images - could be some funny creativity involved in that ... and better yet, pose 'em in a battle with the HULK! ;-)

That's the clever part - many of the sites linking are relevant to Transformers, as it's the Transformers community behind it. And "V7ndotcom Elursrebmem" has been cropping up on every transformers website... geddit?
Nice idea on the T-Shirts, I'll get the lads on it.
