You problably will! You bastard
I am myself really concerned about my domain right now it doesn´t even show up when making a search but if you speculate the way I do (see the last few posts I made) I believe it to be back online within one week.

John: Have you considered posting some screenshots of what things look like on your end? I've seen a bit of geo-location variation, so it would be interesting to see what you are seeing in Japan - I assume that's where you'll be come noon on May 15th?
An "official" top-10 list as we enter the home stretch (with periodic updates between now and May 15th) would be interesting to see, and probably generate more buzz for 'ya - just a thought.

good point actually...hey john how about daily screenshots for the last week of the contest?! and perhaps a live chat (perhaps yahoo?) when the end of the contest arrives
I decided to 301 my page to Marcus because he's been a fair competitor the whole time and offered a fair deal on it.
I've remained in the top 15 the entire contest, and I do not have any COOP weight, all from hard-to-get links like asking Mr. scoble for a link.
But now without that precious COOP i dont really think i have a chance so I'm not quitting, im partnering with Mr. Westberg good luck to everybody!

Last 2 weeks!
Am I the only one checking the serps way to many times/day ??
When I started out with this contest i never could imagine that it would be this intensive as it is.
And Good idea Alek! about the SERP check!

I'll post a screencap on the last day. I do not think location plays a role in this search term.

Here's how the Keyword Tracker chart is two weeks before it ends. Shoemoney's site is the new
one that went down, up, then down down down almost to the top of the listings.

FWIW: I see a bit of variance when searching at google.co.uk and google.ca versus google.com. I have also had people tell me from other parts of the world that things looks different even when everyone hits www.google.com - unknown if that is data center flux or geo-location differences based on client IP.

There is surely a difference between search on Google.co.jp and Google.com, but we use Google.com for the contest.

on google.se for a quite a while (before I 301'd to marcus) it showed my page as #1
I guess we're all just interested in what you see john, you are all-seeing google eye and would like to see what you see, oh show us great one
on a realistic note, any chance on posting daily screencaps for the last week on the v7n blog or something?

how come the results vary in different countries? these words are not in any particular language... i thought u submit a site to google.com and then it's just a matter or preference where u search...

no that wouldn't make sense, because China for example has different results for different keywords due to censorship I believe (thinking back to John's blog post about the subject). Although I suppose you would expect non-controversial subjects to be identical in the poles... but then again if the algorhythm has to be changed for one keyword It probably throws it off for all keywords.

The results vary depending on which country you search from by quite natural causes. If you where searching for something globally available, you would probably prefer to find sites offering what you're after in a location reasonably close to you, and the sites that will be reasoably close to you will probably be
• sites hosted in or near the area (or country) you're searching from
• sites with links from other sites hosted in or close to the area you're searching from
Makes sense to me. Now, since I don't have nearly enough links from outside Scandinavia, and none from Asia, and my site has been firmly rooted on page three for more than a month, I've partered with Jim and Marcus (to do some Swedish flag waving). My contest site is now 301ed to www.marcuswestberg.com/v7ndotcom-elursrebmem/ and I'm actively placing (carefully selected) links to www.jimwesterberg.com/v7ndotcom-elursrebmem/ as well.
The race isn't over yet!

I'm seeing myself at #5 now, my highest placing so far - can anyone else confirm that?
The ranking badge says 7 however.

Bumflakes!
I've used this tool http://www.mcdar.net/dance/index.php and can see I vary from #5 to #8, yet the #1 site is the same throughout...
It's looking bleak for the rest of us.

I see transformers at #5 on this datacenter
#1 is JimW's and #2 is MarcusW's - I'm sure the 301 redirecting (especially for Marcus) helps his site. The Swedes got a 1-2 punch, but the contest ain't over until the fat lady sings on May 15th! ;-)
P.S. John: Be real interesting to see a screen grab from Japan and/or top-10 list.

I am not 100% certain for a few more days who will win but I am sure of one thing: Sweden will have at least 1 spot in the top 3
(either me or Jim, problably Jim)
To celebrate this here is a swedish flag...
Next time you will hear the swedish national anthem
(For those of you that are hockey fans I am sure that you heard it before)
