yes I agree with you absolutely, and use these exact methods on my websites that I really care about..

now on the other hand... we have this competition..

so how slow do you go? LOL , slower or faster than v7 competitors ? how fast or slow is the competition going? well i suppose the only common factor determining this is the closing date, so the amount of links per month incoming should peak on the 15th may etc

I did read a reference to how many links can point to your site per month.

as I remember the amount was deterrmined by,
age of domain
number of pages of domain
actual on page location and anchor text of BL's on other sites. ( not in footers or side bars)

does anyone here have a link to a similar reference about IBL linking speed?

personally i really dont have the time to create a great bl strategy, I went for mass instead as it was easier , each non related sites and footers, though interesting to find out what happens ( not much, hanging between page 4 and 6 ) with over 400k ibl's in Y

I was worried that because all the top ten indexed on google had over 1000 back links that other like myself had no chance but I have been adding backlinks slowing and climbing up in ranks.

here is my 7 weeks climb from when I found my site indexed.
Feb 2nd I was index on google v7ndotcom elursrebmem position 368
Feb 9th v7ndotcom elursrebmem was found at position 223
Feb 16th v7ndotcom elursrebmem was found at position 158
Feb 23rd v7ndotcom elursrebmem was found at position 123
March 2nd v7ndotcom elursrebmem was found at position 86
March 9th you could find my v7ndotcom elursrebmem at position 64
Today on March 18th you can find my v7ndotcom elursrebmem seo contest entry page on goole at position 52 and moving up.

ive got over 350k ibl's in Y and still in the 50's... but mine arent great LOL

Hi Spamhater, welcome to v7n. Sorry you got spammed, I hate that too and even my own site got spammed by someone who entered the competition.

Lucky for us people who hate spammers is that we can report spammers' url's in Google. You can report sites that spam your domain here:

http://www.google.com/contact/spamreport.html

I did that with the assclown who spammed my blog and I recommend this to anyone who gets his site spammed.

googlebowling was an interesting read. I've noticed anytime that I've suddenly accumulated a few new links I drop rank for a few days, then things straighten out and I end up right where I was or slightly higher. Perhaps that is happening here.

Although... I'm talking about 10-100 links. not 1,000+ so perhaps it won't.

I think the v7ndotcom elursrebmem seo contest might be going up a little hill right now...seems to be loosing steam but I saw this coming. Soon it will heat up again as we approach Aprils 15th. I checked my position today up 6 spots to 44

Errrr I'm the offender here, I thought I sent you an appology too, infact I believe you got two appolpgies, one from myself and one from the managing director. Yes as I said in my appology it was an irresponsible action and I got carried away. It's not my usual MO and it won't happen again.

well my site has been dropping from page 4 or 5 now to 6

by a site i made to link to my main site

is now between page 3 and 4 .. LOL go figure

as soon as i posted fresh aritcles on this blog above.. it jumped in rankings , before it was around 140 to 150

out of 6 million pages I reckon ive got over 50 in the top 500

possibly more

now going to type some more contest articles post them to my main entry site and see how that helps..
