MSN who would be an affiliate?

Maybe MSN might find this thread.

What do you think of an MSN Affiliate program, would you send your traffic to their shopping site?

How about promoting users to download their toolbar?

Does any other search engine offer payments for toolbar installs?

How much would you want to make as an affiliate with them?

I think most people who do affiliate stuff would want to promote the stuff that converts the best, and Amazon tends to convert the best, no?

I haven't promoted them enough, so I'm not sure. I have seen some highly converting systems out there. Comparing them to the style of store Amazon is, I would think they were better with conversions then Amazon.

I wonder if they start paying affiliates per install of their toolbar http://toolbar.msn.com/

How many would promote that to their users? And are your rankings better on MSN? Would that influence you promoting their toolbar or is the money enough? Or you wouldn't at all?

You just made my day. I was searching for something else to blog about today and this is hot news. I think this would make a HOT affiliate programs especially since MSN has RSS datafeeds.

I blogged about MSN's RSS datafeed in relationship to affiliate feeds here.

Nice, I see it is up in your blog now He had mentioned they announced it in November, I have been searching but haven't found anything. I'm going to email him this thread. Maybe he can give us more information and we can give him some input on this.

One of my clients, Affiliate Classroom just confirmed having a similar conversation with MSN at the Summit and blogged about it.

I don’t see how Microsoft will pay out lots because unlike Google they would employ a third party who then wants a cut of your pie. (A little like Overture partners).
