Is it possible to partner with a US SEO Firm?

I went to google and contacted the 3 top SEO firms I found there.

All of which either gave me a lame answer, no answer or (in one case) was down right offensive.

I hate to sound like a grump on my first post to this board but is it even possible to hire a professional SEO firm in the USA? (Or even get one to call you back?)

When I decided to look for an SEO to partner with I figured it would be simple...

Would it be better to just hire a staff or 6 or more for optimization and pay them a salary?

Not a bad idea. You'd probably do best doing it in house, if you have the basics down.

We do SEO - but it isn't cheap. If people are not wanting to do business, it is usually because:

1. the money isn't good, or

2. the business is an adult business.

All I am asking is they work with our clients and offer us a business to business rates. We do business to business rates for other web design firms.

Seems I can't even get any to email or call me back...One woman did email back but said it would be 4 to 6 weeks after my client sent her $2500 (for her report) and she would give me 10% discount.

We don't do any type of adult sites, casion sites, viagra or any of that stuff.

I have one client now that spends $600 a month on ad words and overture...tell me that's not a waste of money.

I planned to offer SEO services starting at $250 a month and going up depending on what they want.

A lot of the sites we do now rank well but we want that extra edge.

Am I not in the ball park on pricing?

$250 a month might be ok. You might want to contact a member here - Mel.

That sounds good.

I said $250 as being the low end, some will go $300, $400 and higher per month.

I have one client now that has done over $250k in sales in the last 7 months without professional SEO so I can imagine what he could do with it.

The bottom line is we have been a full service shop for the last 5 years but in the past most of the sites we were doing were information site and sites that were interactive but not selling products.

In the past year 95% of the sites we have done and are currently doing are ecommerce.

I just feel if we are going to do ecommerce sites we need to do our best and get results for our clients.

Really effective SEO is expensive labor intensive. We start at $3000 per year, but sometimes - depending on intensity of competition - we charge as much as $10,000 per keyword.

We also like to be paid up front. I suspect many of the better SEO's are in the same ballpark.
