"v7ndotcom elursrebmem" already bigger than "Nigritude Ultramarine"!
Google now shows 246,000 results for v7ndotcom elursrebmem!
For Nigritude Ultramarine it is 211,000.
And not even 100 hours has passed yet ...
This is going big!

There is a rumour on the internets that this is because v7n dot com members rule.

I agree. It has gotten really big, and it's growing fast. I am pretty sure it will find it's way to CNN or some other major network before it ends in may.
Oh boy, how much there is for us nutheads to learn from it. I am totally blown away about all the interesting stuff I find from studying the results. A lot I used to have a feeling about, I have now seen clear evidence (in my opinion) since we have such a big scale on the whole thing.

Thanks intruth
I think that had a lot to do with it. All the SEO related news was depressing drivel. It lacked fun-ness. And I like fun-ness.

Absolutely. It was god damn boring lately. The contest is a fresh breath of air in all the "Google has slammed me" complaining all over the place. I almost quitted reading forums because of all the complaining.
Now we all have something constructive to keep ourself (and others) occupied with.
On a side note: If I get nowhere in the contest, it has still given me a lot of insight in the industry I am a part of. It could not have happened in any other way. Hopefully there will continue to be similar contests in the future.

I rank 28 currently but have just added some backlinks (one is PR 7). I still have a huge number backlinks that I can add but want to do it gradually to simulate a nutural increase.
My big question is, when will Google sandbox the new domains?

I doubt you'll run into problems on this search term with an established domain.

Hmm, this is getting tougher.
Now the most updated DC shows over 400K results. More contest pages went in the 20-30 which made me go down under 30 ...

Jim! Thanks for pointing me in this direction back at WN. And again thanks to JohnScott for staging this.
You're actually my first target to pass in the contest. It would be more fun if you had your site hosted in Sweden so that we could compare them on a "sites from Sweden" basis as well...
My good news for the night is that Google at last picked up my targeted page and that it has gone in as #33 in several DCs!
Next week I'll try to watch the DCs a little less. Work has actually suffered a bit this week...
