v7ndotcom elursrebmem - $500 International Idiocy Supplement - Additional Rules

Ok guys, I have always thought that SEO contests were kind of cool so I've decided to add a little more money in the pot for v7ndotcom elursrebmem.

Here's the deal though, I'm not a horrifically generous guy and $500 is a lot of money for me to just give out for fun, so I'm going to add a couple of rules here if you're interested in getting the additional $500 alongside the other prizes.

Three conditions:
1. A clearly displayed link must be on the number one site on the end date in order for you to eligible for my extra $500. The link needs to be visible and outgoing to http://www.internationalidiocy.com. If there's not a link for that site on your's and you win, I will not pay you.
2. 1000 people must register for the International Idiocy forums.
3. I would like to somehow make back the $500 and so I've decided that the best way to do this is to make it a condition on here. International Idiocy owns a pixel advertising site (http://pixels.internationalidiocy.com) and has ads on the main site. Before we will give the $500 to anyone, I want to either sell 800 pixels on the pixel advertising site or make $501 off of the advertising on the main site. If you want to buy a pixel and use it to help google bomb your site to the top in the contest, that's fine.

Why am I doing this?

Two reasons.

One is that it's fairly risk free for me. As you can see by the conditions up there, I won't pay unless I make my money back, so I'm not worried.

The second is that I think this might force you guys to unify a little bit. It only took me a couple of clicks to realize that some of you really do not like Taggle Team or someone else. By making some conditions on this contest that can't just be achieved by one person, it will hopefully make competitors unify a little bit.

Feel free to ask me any questions you may have. I more than willing to answer queries you may have.

So that's all.

PS: I will try and keep everyone up to date on how the advertising in condition 3 is doing. I'll keep the amounts posted as much as I can.

OK, OK, I'll add another $500 to the contest prize...if my .tv contest page makes me over $500 in advertising!! Bomb me with a few million back-links, and it just might do it!!!

I struggle to see how doing this is any different then what Webguerrilla did.

Sorry if you don't like that I'm not just going to give $500 away and that I want to recoup some of the costs. If that offends you, fine, don't participate.

I would like to issue an apology out to John though, I didn't ask you about this before now because I didn't know who was running this. If you don't want be to do this, I will end this right here and now, that's fine. I assumed it was ok because others had done similar things. I apologize.

Vanilla, I don't own the web, you're free to do as you want. I just don't see many people participating when the chances of getting paid (and the reward if they are paid) are so little.

Yeah, I see what you're saying. This contest is crazy though, it's turned something that was a term no one had ever heard into something that returns 1,380,000 Google (as of my last check). That's crazy, it shows a lot of people working hard, but I was a little disappointed to see so many people arguing against each other (it seems like a lot of people are mad at Taggle Team, for example) and so I thought that maybe making some kind of thing where they would be forced to work together might help. I don't know, maybe I'm off-base here, but I'll go ahead and leave it up and see what happens.

No one is flaming Taggle Team. There is some anti-charity dude bashing the for charity site!! That's causing most of the little flaming that's gone on since the contest started.

Exactly!! Hince very few if any of us will try to get your cash, while the other much bigger add-on prizes have a much higher odds of geting the cash....if you follow there linking rules.

The day that site makes $500 before the contest ends will be the day the moon turns to cheese and it gets a PR 10!!! My SPAM/cloaking site ranks higher than my .tv site!!!!

BTW, 3,380,000 results in the next update!!
