Net Benefit

I am sure most of you must have heard if not used Co-op network from DPS.It changes ads on every page load.I am confused about its exact benefit because ads keep on changing and any backlink from the site could not be considered as backlink.And most if not all webmasters display co-op ads in footer and chance of getting traffic is minimal.
Would you help me understanding its core purpose?

It doesn't add a whole lot, but it can be beneficial to a certain extend.

I have read above mentioned threads but my specific confusion is not discussed there :confused:
I think backlinks effect is temporary until next visit of Search Engine spider because co-op links are updated on every page load.And backlinks are not permanent.

Google still lists 1000's of pages I deleted a year+ ago when doing site:www.whatever.com

What does the google bot think when it hits the same url 1000's of times a day with rotating links?

As far i know when it will see link for other site it will save its anchor,PR and relevancy of voter site for votee site.And it will be counted as backlink/vote for the site.But when on next visit it will not see the link for previous votee site ( i think it would try to remove the boost effect of votee site that happened because of that previous backlink/vote) .

I am not impressed because Google has removed description and title of the indexes.It means it has taken some action after knowing that whatever.com is no more online.

Not all the links rotate constantly. The default (which I presume most people use) when installing coop is 50% static and 50% rotating.

Having said that, I notice more dramatic results in Yahoo than in Google. Some people see results in Google as well and are willing to pay in the area of 10.00/month/1000 coop weight (technically renting weight is against the TOS so people say "it's 10,000 now but who knows about tomorrow...).

There is some debat as well about yahoo. People (including me) had sites with coop links pointed at them removed from search results. Imagine my surprise when going from #1 to nowhere at all. I blamed coop, others didi too, others defended coop. Anyway, you don't want more coop links that normal static links in my opinion.

I would rather prefer link vault because it places static links.But even on 50% static and 50% dynamic will ultimately display 100% changed ads after 5 or 6 page loads.It seems to me taking benefit of SE confusion for sometime about the backlinks they counted on.

A lot of people like Link Vault. I do hear complaints that their category system doesn't really work, that they place your links on unrealted sites. I keep meaning to give them a try...
