How many links can you acquire per day/week before the alarms bells go off at Google?
I have been actively searching and getting links to my site recently. On one of my daily excursions to Google I found a page by our recently maligned friend Shoemoney who has a free directory list with pr. I gladly accepted Shoemoneys research and studiously listed my site details to the various directories. While I was in 'data entry mode' I couldn't help wondering how many links one should acquire in a given time frame. Does anyone have any suggestions as to the link quantity / time period or am I just paranoid.

I don't think it''ll hurt you to get a lot of links like that, from directories. I think site-wide links would hurt you more if you got a lot of them, like I did with BlueFind from Internet.com

And I would think it also matters how established your site is - I don't think a few hundred site-wide links would hurt an established site.

yes i know i do but i do very well considering, best thing about it typing all words backwords is easyer than typing them forwords
