Can a newer site rank higher than an older site?
Meaning can the newer site out rank the older site on search queries targeting the same market. I know the older domain has Rank juice based on the age of the domain. At the ended of the day, the newer site has more relevant content and just has a better overall site experience on the same subject.
Or what does the newer site have to do to beat the older site in ranking and search positioning. Thanks

Based just on what you wrote, the answer is yes. I have seen it. Maybe the older site was outdated and not optimized or never built back links. But, if the older site applied itself, it would probably pass the newer one or at least have an easier time catching up.

I have seen this happen as well. Age of a website doesn't matter that much, it's all about the content.

this is correct.
many people have been sent on a wild goose chase after being presented with the "Aged domain theory". aside from totally new sites age has nothing to do with how well you will rank. Keep in mind that even though a domain may be registered many years ago Google counts a domain's age by the first time it was crawled by Google.
So if you take an old domain. Change off its content to something totally different. Then you are basically a new website. but possibly with the exception of penalties which I don't think anyone has enough data to say conclusively if a penalty will follow a domain that has been completely rebuilt

I wondered because i searched a keyword, and a site in the VERY LOW quality realm was ranked higher on the keyword. When comparing both the only difference was AGE.

Age of the domain is one of the factor to improve PR. Since there are many factors to improve the PR of the website a newer site can definetly compete the older site with much better content and backlinks.

Yes it totally can happen mainly on the quality of backlinks and good content a new site has. But I wouldnt worry on PR. Worry about seo and traffic. Because wouldnt you choose a PR1 with 100,000 people a day compared to a PR5 with 1000 people i myself would coose the 100k. Pr will happen in time.

I think it comes down to several things. The quality of the site, the quality of the content, and the quality of the banklinks coming into the site. If those out weigh the older site then you will rank higher!

Yes, it is really possible depending on the content and the way the new site was optimized. But it will be difficult to outrank old domain especially if it is still up-to-date and with continuous optimization.

Yes it is possible, but depending on how competitive your niche is you will need more quality backlinks and quality content.

yes,yes !! Google gives preference to new sites with a fresh and original quality to rank higher than older sites. I have even seen sites with zero back links ranking higher than sites with score of back links.

I listened to a webinar a couple weeks back on a guy who sets up sites and sells them, some in the 7 figure range. He says he's never had a site for more than 4 months.

Domain age is a big plus point, hence the older site has this big advantage. But if the new site is putting in proper SEO techniques as per google guidelines , getting good backlinks and has good unique content in the website, even the new site will start performing better than the old site in search engines.

Its quite hypothetical question, Google considers over 500 parameters while awarding rankings to a website. If you have done better in most of those parameters than your competitors, your website would definitely get ranked higher than your competitors.
