er it doesn't work, even with the * taken out and changed to .com. How about just giving us it with out the http://www part. Then it won't be a link.

I don't think any one'll sue over the contest!!  Though Matt says the older domain wins with duplicate contest and on webmaster rado some one tried this with there own site, and sub.domain.com destroyed the new domain.com site!!

good point...but still it doesnt look like he has a chance of negatively effecting g00gl3r's page...but i guess i could be wrong, last time i checked the dup'd page isnt even indexed in google yet

Oh yes it does, BIG time. This domain was registered on...
Creation date: 18 Feb 1999 00:00:00
and as my last post shows, some one did this exact same thing with there own site, and there new domain was killed in the listings.

I had someone do this to me in the forturno winnero seo contest last year don't think it effected me they listed somewhere around 150 I finished 4th. Was not exact copy they put copy of my site into a table.

you make a good point nintendo... I dont know much about the dup penalty to be honest, so it will be interesting...but its kind of stupid if you ask me...
does the creator of the dup'd page want to announce themselves?

It could be a reverse seo kinda thing, like some companies are being hired to get sites talking against them, off of the top keyword searches.
