vbseo
Seriously considering getting vBSEO for this forum. Would like input from people who have used it, good and bad.

That's the real plan right?

No. I don't want to do it until I get feedback from people who have actually done it to their own vB forums.

You could just do the modifications yourself it wouldnt take too long to get it done. Plus this sites forums do pretty damn well for most of the things people search for anyway...
Maybe do some optimisation work on the forum instead of changing it

I bought it for a forum of mine, installed it, and it worked like a dream right away. It couldn't have been easier or more complete. It was worth every penny.

All of the source files are encrypted. So when you buy it you can't modify it.
That's the main reason I never bought it. As a coder myself I need to be able to get in there and modify stuff.

Personally I think SEO mods for open source products are worth installing as they generally remove the sid's (I notice you dont have them anyway) and provide better optimisation for searchengines including extra description fields.

I posted on that thread ninno... my concern with free crap is that it is exactly that... CRAP! While the intentions are probably awesome programmers who are not paid and provide 'small' add-ons or additions to software normally don't update it regularly and it stops working for new releases. My thoughts are VBSeo cost a good chunk (relative to software) so the programmers should be able to continue updating it, and adding on.
I`m looking into VBSeo any more feedback
