Traffic Difference for Top of Page 2, Page 1, Page 1 #1

Just wanted to get everyones thoughts on how much the difference in traffic is for sites on Page 2?
In the middle of Page 1?
At the very top of Page 1?

Lets say its for a keyword that gets 10,000 hits a month...

I have not been doing SEO very long but want to know where is a good place to get a keyword..

I think number one position gets 60%. #2 10%-15% and numer 3 8-9%. Number 10 position in google on first page gets like 2-3%.

Yes, I'd agree with this too and forget about page 2, you need your main keyword pages on page 1.

You should also remember that the page description can be used to get the click, as it is normally displayed in your search engine listing.
What I mean is, as well as putting your keyword there, add something that might make people click, use it as an advert.

Def. for a 10,000 search keyword you should aim for first page. I'm in no way an seo expert but I do enjoy learning and building my website. U should to. If not first position get in them 5 spots on first page and it will feel good for the hard work
