anchor text

let's say in one page, I have a term "abc" repeated many times. I have another page to explain that term. Should I create link to the explaination page with every "abc" word in that page? Or just do it once at the top?

thanks

I doubt it'll affect your SEO much either way. But even if it does I suggest you do what you think is best for your readers. If it ends up being over 100 links it'll potentially hurt your SEO and annoy your readers. One or just a few links at the first few references is usually a good way to go for your readers.

Absolutely... well think smartly what is the use of linking the same thing again and again... make it to the top 'bold' it so that if thats some 'strange' word that people happen to dont understand would click there to see it... and as about the SEO all you work would go in vain... as you would get 100's of links on the single page offending BIG G!

Take care

Manish

Oh, that's another good point. On pages where "abc" is most relevant put it in bold at least once. The Big G takes bold words to be important, just like a human reader will understand the emphasis being made. If the purpose of the page is "abc" then put it in the title and h1 tags.
