Adding backlinks daily what is a good count?

I try to add 10 to 20 back links daily what would you say is a good daily count?

I want to gain in back links but do not want to over do it.

Well 1 good backlink would be better than 100 less good ones.
Try to be selective with your time.

It depends on the PR of the backlinks. if you got 10 PageRank 8 links daily you'd probably get banned, if you get 10 pr0 links daily they will do very little. 10 backlinks ranked 2 or 3 each day will be plenty, if they are lower ranked then increase the number, for higher rank links decrease it

This is only really important to look at when you start buying 5 new PR8 links everyday. PageRank is definitely not the most important factor here.

What I would be most concerned with is the amount of backlinks that have the exact same anchor text. Too many new links with the exact same keyword being acquired everyday would look very fishy. Mix it up. Write articles with one anchor text, beg for links w/ another, etc...

Focus more on the quality of the link, rather than just the PR.

I don't see how Google can decide that this is a reason to ban a site. What if I have a site that provides great unique content and services that people just want to link to naturally? I could get 10 PR 8 links in a day. If pople link to me out of their own choice then I have no control over that so Google shouldn't ban me for something I have no control over.

not that I don't believe you, but what do you base this one? This is the type of question that has been on my mind a lot lately.

I figure it on a yearly basis. Although I have nothing to back this up, just my own theory.

10 - 20 a day = 3650 to 7200 links a year. A good amount, but not huge. I don't think it would cause any issue.
