bing seems to really like press releases so we try to do more of these to back link our pages.

I was told, if you work on getting noticed by Google the others Bing, Yahoo, etc... will pick you up eventually as well because Google has. Don't know if that's true but it sounds logical.

Blog comments, good quality content, press releases, and on-page seo for your keywords are a good start for Bing and Yahoo.

Commonly all search engine prefer for quality content first for showing the result. So quality content is must for better result in any search engine. Apart from that , most of the bing results are similar as google. So if you better on google , then automatically on bing. And for yahoo i have heard that domain name , title , tags these all are more effective.

Yes at the moment Bing and Yahoo are in a continuous search for people so if you rank well in Google you will be picked up.

Yahoo, Google, Bing

I have read that Google gets approximately 60 % of the web traffic, Yahoo 25 %, and Bing picking up whats left.

Also, all the SE's have thier own personality. Google is stricter, and enforces its rules, I know, because I was penalized big time by Google. Also, Google filters out allot of garbage. Yahoo on the other hand, is more forgiving, never got penalized like Google did.

Lastly, I would suggest installing Google Analytics to see where your Traffic is coming from, that may help you in regards to your initial question.

Google gets 60% of the web traffic! Why don't you concentrate on it?

I do think bing and yahoo mostly would like to crawl the articles, blog comments and press release.even though they are slower to crawl and index our sitemap than google. But if we insist on showing quality content to them,I think we will get more traffic from them with better SERP.

This.

Iíve also always had similar results with Bing compared to Google. Keep in mind that the search volume is still considerably lower, and depending upon what youíre trying rank a lot less across the board. One of the things Iíve found is that people using mobile to look up companies generally use Bing powered. My clients/my websites that donít have much Mobile stuff have a much lower search ranking than the ones who have users trying to ďcheck-inĒ or use their phones to search for the company (like trying to get driving directions for example).

I never heard the press release thing about Bing earlier. I'll have to try that.

Maintain 3-5% keyword density, Bing and Yahoo like on page SEO. Although Google is top search engine now, who knows future Bing could do better, never put all eggs in a same bucket.

Honestly, I'm not that interested with my results and rankings in Yahoo and Bing. People are more concern in Google rankings.

Yahoo Search is now powered by Bing so if you want to concentrate on SEO for Bing and Yahoo, you should only take care of Bing and for that you've got to have a slightly different link building strategy than what you have for Google.

- Bing likes sites with a bit more outbound links that Google does.

- Bing likes sites with a lot of text.

- Bing likes sites with inound links from PR releases sites.

and there are many other things that are important if you want to rank well in Bing.

so you must do all that in order to rank good on Bing or else just keep doing SEO for Google and you might get lucky with Bing aswell. That is what I do.
