Different Sites for Different Color Widgets - Need Advice

I have a website: all-widgets.com

To increase sales, I'm setting up 5 other websites:

green-widgets.com
blue-widgets.com
red-widgets.com
black-widgets.com
yellow-widgets.com

I figure it'll be great for SEO and naturally, if someone is looking for "green widgets", they'll be much more likely to buy it if the name of the site they're on is green-widgets.com. They are going to be hosted on the same server, so they are going to have the same C block in their IPs. (AAAA-BBBB-CCCC-DDDD)

I know that I am going to have to devote a few weeks of SEO to each one already. I plan for the sites to be very closely the same. They will have the same text in a lot of places, although it will never be exactly the same.

Should I be concerned about duplicate content?

Should I be concerned if I link from the same locations to each site that they are on the same C block? Can Google find this out, and will it care?

Should I link them to each other?

Should I link them all from "all-widgets.com", but not to each other?

I tend to think this is a marketing error. I think you should focus all your resources on all-widgets.com.

Only if the content is indeed duplicate.

Oh no, another one was 39% similiar. Is that too much?

Duplicate, as in, "Duplicate"?

100%?

A site that isn't even mine but is on the same subject is 16%.

I agree with John, you should focus on all-widgets.com.

I have tried this type of thing before and all it got me was customers emailing me. Wanting to know why my site sends them to another site address and stuff like that. I have learned to stick with one domain name and put your efforts into that one.
