Doubt regarding Article submission

I have two questions regarding article submission

1.Is it good to submit a single unique article in more the 50 or 60 article submission Directories?

2.If all the directories accept my article then, is Google considering all the links from the directories as my back link or it take from 1 or two directories?

Article Submission

Google gives less credit to this method of promoting your site. What they call it is "Link-Farms". Submitting the same article to 50 sites is nothing but spamming and it is really a bad thing when it comes to SEO.

I was considering doing similar thing for my blog, but thanks to sagarman for the info. I would have gone ahead well before now if not for the fact that submission could be quite tasking sometime.

Good question

As per your first question, yes it is a very effective technique of doing SEO by posting articles on different sites.

I personally think google is going to consider each and every backlink that you made on article submission sites.

On the World Wide Web, a link farm is any group of web sites that all hyperlink to every other site in the group.....Wikipedia...

So multiple submissions to article sites is NOT a link farm.....

(An example of mis-information being passed around)

Same article submitted on different article directories will be considered as duplicate content. This is the reason people use article spinning method.

No........
(Search this forum for the total explanation of duplicate content)

Article spinners are the most likely reason that Google developed Panda..
Too much garbage posting ....low quality articles and site content...

But if you are in one of my niches....keep spinning....makes my SEO much easier.....LOL

The whole concept of article submission has undergone some changes, compared with a few years ago when even some article links would be enough to have better ranks as they would get counted and credited. You have mentioned what might happen when you submit your exact copy of one article to tens of directories. In that case, very rapidly and within a couple of days you may find most directories already listing your submitted story on their pages but how many links would be gained then?

It seems that submitting the same articles to tens of directories, although might result in temporary traffic boost, because naturally some readers will be clicking the author links at the ending parts of your submitted contents, but from SEO perspective, the links gained will not seem to be that strong. It has been experienced that some copies might be dropped from Google index pages after a while, especially if they are exactly the same contents, with no changes in texts and structures.

Your better off submitting it to one quality article site and then spreading that through social media outlets to boost its traffic and rank. That will get you a VERY strong backlink that will increase with age.

1. No, submitting same articles to multiple directories is not advised. It creates duplicate copies of your article and these duplicate articles will get filtered from the search results.

2. If your articles get accepted, you will get backlinks from dofollow article directories only. But these backlinks are low quality articles.

After Google Panda updates, it's totally a worth less activity to submit one article in more than one directories. It's a duplicate content, so you can't get any benefit from article submission for SEO.

I think it is very helpful to improve the SERP by submit unique article to top level article directories. But not many.only 5-10 ones is better.and if possible, you can spin the original articles to different version to submit.THus, you will get quality backlinks from the directories. But sometimes. Google will crawl and index the article page slowly, so you could find the several backlinks in webmaster tool, not the full ones.Of course, you can use ping service or social bookmarking service to get the backlink asap.

Well I had used article submission a few years back, and I can say that I was very successful with it too. Both in terms of traffic and links. But I can't say much about now. I haven't used them since then. But I can make few things out considering a few changes.

1. If you are submitting the same article to big article directories, some big directories won't accept already published articles in the first place.

2. Most of these directories (if not all) contain a nofollow on the outgoing links so you can't get a link from those authority directories.

3. A lot of people are very terified about the content duplication thing. So a lot of sites and blogs that used to pick up articles from these directories no longer use them.

But there are still a lot of sites that still use these articles. Unsure about their quality. But you can always try it out yourself and see if you have any success from them. And you'll know what to do.

Posting the identical content in multiple directories will do more harm than good. Posting original, high quality, interesting content works best for each post.

No, you can't call an unique article because you submitted in several article submission sites.

No, your website will hit by Google Panda because of your redundant content from 50 to 60 submitted article sites.

You can submit same article in 50 - 60 article sites. I don't know, but Google not consider it as duplicate content.
On a single day Google not consider backlinks to all these links from different article sites. So, I think from the 50 - 60 article submission you only get minimum 5 backlinks or max to max 15.

As per Google panda updates, high quality content is only taken into consideration. So "link-frams" are not entertained here.

Submitting the unique content to top quality article directories is better same content to more number of directories. Because article submissions gets you quality traffic. An informative unique content article will always fetch you good traffic along with the one-way backlink.

Thanks.

I'm no SEO expert by any means, but I may say that this presumed risk doesn't exist. Google doesn't penalise your site for that, you just don't get credit for the duplicated content, so it would be a total waste of time for any spammer

WOW!! I'm not sure where some of the answers are coming from in this thread, but many of them couldn't be more wrong

To the OP, you are certainly free to submit an article to 50 or 60 different article directories. After all, it's your article. You own the copyrights to it, so you can do whatever you want with it. It's probably not the best use of your time, though, as many of the article directories don't get very much traffic to speak of or even crawled by the search engines on a regular basis. You're far better off submitting your articles to several of the top article directories and using the time you would have spent submitting to dozens of others looking for ways to get your articles syndicated.

If your article gets published on 50 or 60 article directories, then, yes, you will get 50 or 60 backlinks. Google doesn't pick and choose what links to give you. However, keep in mind that it might take weeks or months to actually get credit for all of those links, since smaller article directories don't get crawled as frequently.

While 50 or 60 backlinks sounds great, it's important to remember one major thing - all of those backlinks are PR0. After all, your articles aren't being published on the article directory's home pages. Instead, they're being published on their own individual pages - and every single one of them (on every article directory on the web) has a PR0. The real "meat" of your backlink success in article marketing will come from syndication (or, the websites that re-publish your articles on their own, higher PR pages).
