Only index page crawled...

I am pretty new to the field of SEO, but i have learned quite a bit. The site I am currently working on is the only page I have really taken time to optimize. So far, its been about 3 weeks to a month of l;inking and working on getting my site indexed.

About a week ago, my site showed up on google, but it was only the index page. I have been waiting and waiting but no more ahve gotten listed. My stats show the most recent time I was crawled was today, (april 3rd) and the time before that was april 21. It is showing it crawled 16 pages.

So, my question is, why havnt any of my indexed pages shown up in my search results, is there anything else I need to do? Or am I just stuck in the sand box?

Any other tips on good optimization for my site would be great

The best advice really to give you is dont wait around for Google, keeping adding your quality content and build on backlinks.

The fact that Google is crawling your site is a good sign and also one page in the inex, the rest will follow if you keep within their guidelines.

Do you have a google site map account? Its a good tool to show what data Google has on your pages.

Read through the V7 Editorials for some good SEO articles.

yeah Ive set up my site map, but they havnt crawled it yet, its still saying no data aviable. I guess im jsut gona have to wait it out. anyone else got some suggestions?

some people say that having adsense on ur site speeds up the process of indexing ur pages... i think it's true.. google visited my pages once the adverts got setup. weired!

I don't believe indexing speed or frequency is related to Adsense ads.

well.. one of the guys in another forum had a problem with their cache as it was showing a very old page in google. he tested using adsense on the page and the page got indexed far quicker than he thought.

Yeah you can believe in that but personally I can't see any correlation so far.

well, i know when googlebot comes to my site I can see it, even when my site was brand new, I saw the same googlebot, like two hours after I put my adsense up. Of course, the bot only crawled my site looking for ad relevancy, now to put me on the search engine.

They dont seem to be working right !!!!

Its important to always check your navigation - if it aint spiderable then it wont get spidered.

(I'd revisit/shorten your title & description tags with Google in mind, but I guess you want to get crawled first eh
