I thought you would appreciate some feedback about your email campaign.

I have these problems with your letter:

1) no website. If you want people to take you serious, a website is needed that demonstates your skills at seo. An seo firm should be able to show evidence of their skills from their own site...

2) a gmail address... Are you kidding? You don't even have your own domain, and you want to convince other people to trust you with theirs?

3) No list of customer sites. I want to see how your previous customers rank for seo, b4 ever considering trusting you on my site.

4) you say that you found my site via advertizing, but you didn't click... that seems insulting... Also, I don't advertize.
You really don't seem like someone that can be trusted, honesty is essential in any business.

5) Did you find me on google? I'd say that if my site is good enough for you to find it on an organic search, the seo is in pretty good shape.


If you ever fix these first few problems that I noticed about your email, I'm sure that your efforts will meet with greater success.

Excellent response. I recently received a similar email from a press release firm that was loaded with typos and grammar errors. It was truly pathetic. (While I didn't bother replying, I did consider doing so.)

I got one of those and replied saying "If you spam me one more time, i'll ban you from this site and spread negative information about your business using adwords".

Never got a response back.

I too receive such emails.. but I don't reply and generally they don't try to contact you again.

Just got another one... Buncha peeps in India looking for work, writing me from my contact page, leaving comments on my blog, using gmail addys.

LOL... that's awesome, Stone! (and, unfortunately oh-so-true) It's amazing to me all of the time people waste trying to take shortcuts or trick people into buying from them... Why not just do some real marketing and build a legitimate business? (guess that's too hard! )

If they did visit my sites, they don't read very well. Some specifically say on the contact us page to the effect not interested and your email will be ignored.

Lately noticed they are trying the 10x in your face before you take action to purchase marketing method.

Great response stone but if you had sent it they would know they had a live email address and spread your email around.

As long as the only way they have of contacting me is through my contact form, or comments on the blog that go directly to spam, it keeps them guessing.
