Two questions

Hello,
I have to questions, it will be apreciated if some can explain me.

1. I am in serp 1 on some keywords of some of my sites. But i am not getting the supposed traffic it would have to be, i mean, are keywords that the keyword sugestion tools represent like 2000 or more searches per day, and i am getting no traffic from them (just 3 visits from them, yes only 3). What happenss? Are the keyword tool suggestion broken?? or what? I can´t believe, once i am in a high position the traffic doesnt come ,

2. Now that i am in that high positions, how can i make to maintain that positions? or even better: improve them. Is ok adding a pic per day or maybe adding some content, but what ammount of content?, I am afraid to change someone and then the ranks go to the 6 serp. lol

Any comment would be apreciated. And sorry for my english!

Paul.

If you don't want to lose your place then you need to keep constantly updating your site with great content otherwise you will lose your place. Your SERPS and stuff will probably change over time anyway.

Dan, thanks for your response, when you say that: (maybe this is a newbie question)
Do you mean update the content of the well ranked pages of my site? or just update content to to the site (which means add more pages), or add new content to the nice-ranked-pages.

Cause the content of some of my pages i think don´t need to be updated everytime or so?

Thanks again,
Paul.

I would say a bit of both as you need to keep the main content updated as well as the uninportant content for a better PR etc. Also adding new pages gives a better chance for more SEO'ng.
