How many backlinks does your site have?

I have PR 3 blog, that have 4683 backlinks, and it is 3 years old, for couple of keywords I am on first position on Google.

Yes, That's right. Quality definitely outweighs Quantity. Quality of Backlinks and how much targeted traffic they get from search engines and referral sites are what's really important.

I have 4345 backlinks from 833 domains, my site is PR4 and is 9 months old. I have 30 targeted keywords, 19 of them are on page1 of Google, 6 on page2, 5 on page3.
Of those 30, 25 are high competition and 5 are medium.
I don't get high traffic because mine isn't a volume sales market, the important factor for me is market share.

PR isn't based solely upon the number of links, but the quality of the websites that are linking to you so continue getting quality links from relevant websites in your niche.

That's very true, but in this instance we know that the OP used GWT so if numbers quoted are from the same source it gives a relevant comparison.

Right new very few since it's been opened 12 days ago. Am working on this though and hope to increase the backlinks number in the following weeks/months.

If you didn't want to say how many you have, that's absolutely fine, you could have just moved on to another thread. But by leaving a comment that doesn't seem to make sense and doesn't contribute anything to the discussion, you leave yourself open to the suggestion that you are only posting for numbers.

Exactly what my point was besides I run a internet marketing forum and have run one for years. I know when people are just posting to build their post count.

It was a simple and topic related post my friend, why are you taking it in way that all i care about some post counts. Chill its really not a matter of Counting really. And one more thing if you think that all i am doing Numbers so you can also check my previous posts, that will clear you out what i am doing increasing my numbers or having or providing a lil bit info that i have.

it is good you build more and more backlinks for your website. but all backlinks have to a quality links, that can effect your search engine ranking.

I use google webmaster tools to measure the backlinks (both do-follow and nofollow backlinks). And one of my site have less than 1000 backlinks and having PR3.

One of my site have about 2500 backlinks - PR4.
