It is a good article.
I had a problem with letting people know what my site was about in that I didn't know 9and still don't) how to "show" that my site is designed for 3 specific markets - weddings, travel and shopping.

I set up the site because I feel that these 3 segments are 3 of the top on the web.
But its hard to trasmit a personalized message for each section on a single page.
i had a landing page previously that consisted of one simple image with the words spelt out "Travel" "Weddings" and "Shopping". No ads, nothing else.

But when i submitted my site on this forum and others for review from members, I had many, many people telling me to ditch it.

But i still feel like I'm loosing visitors because the index page is too confusing.
