How to make seo more effective?

Hi members,
I am new on this forum and in seo field as well. I am doing blog commenting, and want to know any other best method to make seo more effective.
I hope you all help me in this matter.

Doing only Blog Commenting is just not enough for making your site top in SERP.
There are several other tacts which surely give much importance like Social Bookmarking, Forums, Articles, Directory Submission but try to follow such activities on Do-follow and High PR sites. For making your self visible in higher SERP.

I'll suggest
1) On page
2) Submit ur site in different SE and open directory
3) And directory, bookmarking, article post etc...

First of all,check your website is it SEO friendly?Have you optimized ON page techniques properly on your website?Then check your website's content,have you posted quality and unique content on your website?
Then go ahead in off page techniques.Use all link building techniques to build quality backlinks and you can use forum posting,articles,social bookmarking too.

It's actually good that you're working on the blog commenting because that builds relationships, and that's going to help bring traffic to your site. It's going to take a while before your target is reached, though. I would suggest that you check your on-page SEO first before focusing more on the off-page, e.g. blog commenting.

I just want to add that blog commenting one of the effective methods to get backlinks

Blog commenting is not SEO.

If you think posting comments on blogs is going to help your sites SEO, you probably do not have a grasp as to what SEO is all about.

I suggest you read through the google webmaster guidelines, and read the blog of matt cutts.

To make your seo more effective :

1. You need to create a high quality content for your site.
2. Avoid Spamming
3. Create quality backlinks. ( do the backlinking)

Optimize you website by applying some on-page factors like:

Meta tags
Unique contents with keyword density
Rename your images to keywords
Use title tag every pages with shuffled keys
Use title on the links

Apply diverse off-page campaigns like what Bogs said above ..

Do On Page SEO which takes into consideration the keyword density, meta tags, title and the title tag. Make sure the contents in your site are quality, relevant, timely and most of all original. Also, do off-page SEO like what you're doing right now. Comment on do-follow blogs, forum posting, and join social networking sites. Whether it's On Page or Off Page make sure that every post/comment you make are all well-thought out. Quality is key.

I have a different view on the topic. When you build a website, make its meta tags perfect at first. Then try email marketing. I think email marketing is the best method to get click on high volume. (Consider you are not spamming). The second thing is organic link building. You send your site info to a webmaster and this way also get clicks from them.

blog commenting is good, but if you are really want to do seo. there are many more activity that you have to do....

like
directory submission
article
forum (which you are doing)
blog posting
etc...

Firstly optimize your web page properly i-e do on-page then go for off-page. i get high pr from blog commenting & social bookmarking meanwhile i have joined different communities and groups which also serve in good way.

Mainly have two parts in SEO, one is on-page optimization and other is off-page. At first you have to complete on-page seo means title, meta tagging, etc. Then you have to do link building, blog comment in a part of link building, there are many thing you have to done line ‘directory submission’, ‘social bookmarking’, ‘forum posting’, ‘article submission’, ‘blog commenting’ etc
