Different Keywords for each page?
I am creating a free movies site, and I am thinking of adding different meta keywords for pages that display links to the movies. Would it be wise to set different meta keywords for each page?

You must have different keywords for all pages. Because all pages has different content.

It is important to set different keywords for each web page. Otherwise Google will confuse which web page it will list on search engine if all have same keyword. Use Google Webmaster tool, it will also guide you for your mistakes

Google does not use meta keywords any more...haven't for a long time....

Yeah different keywords, titles and descriptions are recommended for every website. The thing that often confuse webmasters is that if the website is big (has over 1,000 pages!) it will be very ... boring ... for the website owner to add unique info to each one. But it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to make each one unique!

Having different meta keywords alone wont do the stuff. Target different and apt keywords for various pages. Optimize well on the page and get backlink with that keyword having in anchor text.

First. you should confirm the main keywords, and each of the other pages, some long tail keywords can be added.

Every page should target separate keywords and be optimized accordingly. Otherwise you would be cannibalizing the same keywords.

I believe this should cover it.
I like to use one page for each keyword.
Many on this thread mention description for keyword ranking factors. well....
Google Does not use descriptions for ranking factors.
On site ranking factors for SEO
Title - SEO Benefit, Keyword Needed
Meta Keyword - Useless
Description - No SEO benefit, No keyword needed. Write only to attract human to page.
H1- SEO Benefit, Keyword Needed
H2-H3 - No SEO benefit, No keyword needed
Body - SEO Benefit, Keyword Needed. Best if keyword is in first paragraph and used twice in the article.
Image- SEO Benefit, Keyword Needed For Alt Attribution.

Yep, second, third and forth that, Google drop the keyword meta tag a while back, that's not to say it will harm your page if you do include them though, you just wont gain anything from using the keyword meta tag is all.

I base my whole site around one keyword for an example if my main keyword is "smelly cat"
All my page titles would include this keyword
watch smelly cat on your iphone
is smelly cat real
bereaking news smelly cat no longer smells
does my cat have smelly feet
When my sites at the point when i can create no more smelly cat page titles & relevant content i move on to another keyword & domain not about smelly cat
This is working for me quite well it helps if you get the domain smellycat.anytld
I find it hard researching that many different keywords to target different keywords for each page would take me months. This is just my method it works well for me but everyone uses different methods for different sectors.
I would start by checking who is on the first page for your target keyword and how long they have been there and how long it would take you to claim that spot.
