Keyword Research Software?
I am spending to much time searching for keywords i can rank well for,i spend about 2/3 days choosing my keywords sometimes even just one keyword.
Is there software that help me automate this process? No warez or blackhat stuff just a few names of good quality programs that has this capability to do such tasks, I know i would have to go back over and check but even still this would really help. I am not getting much time to do anything because of the keyword research
This feature would be nice
1) schedule tasks
Thanks

I'm using Market Samurai and it is a good keyword research tool. I'm not so sure if it has schedule tasking feature. I like Market Samurai because it gives different report about different keywords, so you can really see which keywords are good to target.

Most those tools, including market samurai and traffic travis use Google's database and other "free" resources. The problem here is the information is not as accurate as most think it is. This is one reason why many that think they rank for a good keyword really don't.
Although ranking for sub-keywords is a good thing. Being ranked on page 1 for a keyword that gets 12 searches a month will not help you very much.
Using a tool that has a monthly "paid for" database that is updated every 2 - 4 weeks is a far better deal vs those software programs.
Just my opinion!

Update - I looked into traffic travis it was very annoying software with all the limitations, you cant do this you cant do that , pestering me to go pro after a few seconds of installing it. I did not really look into that well because of these reasons. I have not checked market samurai i will do later today. Up to now the my best way is good old adwords keyword tool , then checking out the top 100 sites for that keyword , this is a very slow process but its working so i think i will stick to it untill something better comes along.
I wanted software that would work like this
choose keyword - my keyword
choose monthly search - 500k
then the software should show me
how many sites targeting that keyword
show me the link strategy of those sites tageting that keyword
how long those sites have managed to keep those postions
how long it took them to get there
how much work they are doing , new pages , new links , etc
Another feature i would like would be to show me easy targets for instance if i find a keyword with high search level, and i find a blogspot, yahoo question, youtube video , wordpress hosted blog in position one, i find its a lot more easy to take those positions, than having a site dedicated website to that keyword.
Normally i do all this by hand using a combination of many different tools
Thanks for all your help i will keep on looking , if i find anything i will update this post and share it with you guys

Honestly Mike I have a keyword research tool (uses a paid for database and not free like those softwares do) in my members area but what you are looking for does NOT exist and never will. The data can be manipulated and in some form it is by Google. It is impossible to do what you are asking for.
Ever wonder why Google shows a keyword that has 5,000 searches a month ? Why does it not have 5,021 ? The reason for this is obvious manipulation, not saying it is done on purpose but unlike what most believe Google does group keywords.
For instance you may have a keyword that says 5,000 searches a month and see some related keywords that say the same. The reason is because each of these keywords do not get 5,000 a month but they do get an estimated 5,000 searches a month combined.
Tell you what Mike - Give me 1 keyword and I will supply you with keyword research on that one keyword. If you want to PM me the keyword you can but I think this would be far more effective for everyone if it was posted on this thread.

Keyword Research
I always use keyword word tracker and Google Adword to search and analyze best keywords for my site.

Sorry but i would never share my keywords with other webmasters far to much time and research has gone into them. If i told people my keywords they would simply copy me and within a few weeks i would have new competition, its hard enough fighting off existing competition. I am very gratefull for your offer but i will have to refuse. Is not that i do not trust you, I do not trust anyone apart from myself.
What software are you using to do this? Is it market samurai or traffic travis? I have looked into both of those programs, Its not what i am looking for, I can do pretty much everything those programs can do with spyglass and adwords keyword tool. Also i checked my own site with market samurai and it says i have 1 page listed in google, and no backlinks. Where it gets it data i do not know but those stats are completely wrong. I have over about 2000 backlinks and 10 indexed pages, It may say these figures as my site is less than 30 days old, and its not updated yet i am not bad mouthing them. I just need something that updates faster than every 30 days. I target mainly rising trends and most of the time after 30 days the trend is starting to die out. Adwords keyword tool, works well for me searching past trends, I am now using my own persoanl method, which invloves anaylizing youtube videos, and twitter updates and the google 24 hour search tool. This is going quite well, The stats i get back are nowhere near accurate and its taking me 2/3 days to get results, but its worth doing as its working.
I know adsense publishers want high comp keywords as lots of money gets exchanged for those words, but i have never done this. I target words that are extremly low comp but with high extremly search volume, nothing less than 500k searchs per month. 1.5 is what i aim , the high volume makes up for the low amounts per click, I am not sure if you can still do this but many years ago when i was doing IM, You had two options, ads based on users search query, or ads based on site keywords. So regardless what my site targets if a user has been searching for loans and they have cookies enabled,or logged into google, the ads on my site would be about loans. I am not 100% sure on this,so confirm it with someone else first before taking action.
Also this is also very strange that i noticed with youtube maybe someone knows more about this than i do but this is what happend.
Last week i brought my computer from my old house to my new one, My sister had been over to ireland for few days, when she got back she was listening to irish music on youtube on a seperate computer downstairs. When i plugged my new computer in from my old house with the same isp, i went to the youtube homepage and all the videos was about irish songs. How google do this i do not know, but its like they get the information from your isp. Its not coincidence because my sister was listing to this one song over and over again, the song was called "galway girl" this is the exact song that was listed on my youtube homepage.
My computer is password protected there is no way she could have been using it. She knows better than this anyway

Mike I do not use useless software such as market samurai or traffic travis. This is one reason why many fail to get the proper keywords. As I said before these softwares use a "free" database that anyone can get access to without paying for the software.
This free database is skewed in the results and not always up to date. Thus why your site shows no backlinks. I do not understand why people waste so much time and money on useless software but they do.
My keyword research tool is nothing like what you have seen and it is 100% online. It does keyword and competition research in 3 clicks. It does not do everything you are asking for though because what you listed above is impossible.
As for the keyword I offered to do research on, we are talking 1 keyword. I understand what you are saying but I can almost promise you there are thousands of keywords in your niche. I made the offer in hopes that others may actually learn from this thread.

It is in my signature Mike The link called article marketing. I have far more than just a keyword tool though as it is a complete online article marketing tools and syndication site. All tools are exclusive and online, no downloads.

In my 5 years of marketing experience, I have never seen a tool as good as “keyword country”.
It helps me in,
-Checking the profitability of my keywords
-Rip my competitor keywords
-Choosing the most targeted keywords
-Getting alerts when my competitor changes strategy
-Finding LSI, misspelled keywords and much more...

For years I used Wordtracker and had great results with it. Then I moved to Market Samurai and I was not happy with it since one of the updates required me to upgrade my Mac Operating System! I have used the Free Google Keyword tool but have found it to be useless for big lists of long-tail which contain my exact key phrase. I am going back to Wordtracker even though the price has gone up.

I am hearing lots of good words for wordtracker , I am doing a refresher course on adwords & adwords keyword tool , analytics , webmaster tools.
It was a while ago when i was last into IM but i am sure there is another way to do longtail in adwords keyword tool, I start the course at my old job next week, so if i can remember/re-learn how to do what you want "longtal" I will share the info here for you.
Its a setting in the advanced options , This is a while ago now but i am quite sure its possible
