I might be mis-interpreting your note, but while the results you published would have certainly been advantageous to me, I think I speak for most of the competitors that John picked the May 15th day a long time ago and that's what we/he properly went with.

I have no argument/issue/whatever with the results he has shown and appreciate him running a fun contest, generating quite a bit of buzz, and also some $$$ for Celiac Disease Research.

Thats Googles problem not Johns...Nice to see so many familiar names getting the dosh. The fact that datacenters switched moments after the official time is actually typical of what people see everyday with their own SERPs so its kind of fitting.

The University of Maryland confirmed this morning a $100 donation from a credit card in Japan - thank you John ... and that should be tax deductiable for you since they are classified as a charity.
