I might be mis-interpreting your note, but while the results you published would have certainly been advantageous to me, I think I speak for most of the competitors that John picked the May 15th day a long time ago and that's what we/he properly went with.
I have no argument/issue/whatever with the results he has shown and appreciate him running a fun contest, generating quite a bit of buzz, and also some $$$ for Celiac Disease Research.

I'll also add that I stopped by the CFCR again this morning, since I wanted my kids to see it, and several folks there were "buzzing" about the SEO contest.
Just got back home in Colorado, so I'll go back to reading all the play-by-play and other discussion.

hulkster, if it has genuinely helped people there and not just made a lot of people try to show just how good they are at this game, then it's been worth it
BTW - It was a pretty crazy ride though

Hehe! Thanks Sagbee! Yup the .net guy Scott is a worthy winner! In fact all winners have gone through a lot of effort with their contest sites and they all deserve credit for it
And Sagbee I can´t forget your nickname since our little incident hehe

Thats Googles problem not Johns...Nice to see so many familiar names getting the dosh. The fact that datacenters switched moments after the official time is actually typical of what people see everyday with their own SERPs so its kind of fitting.
Great Finish to a great contest.

Clarification of the rules!
Ok! I think I have to write this since some people complained about John Scott´s winner announcements....
John earlier stated clearly exactly how winners would be announced....
Yes that´s right! And pls dont say that that winners should be determined by the cache date! John actually stated the contest rules in his official thread and I have full thrust for John´s official v7ndotcom elursrebmem winner announcements!!!!!
So quit your jibba jabba!!! folks!
Bottom line: Stop your conspiracy pls!!!..... Or whatever word you would explain it with...
Ok now to something positive Congrats to all winners especially Scott!
Go Scotland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And, Todd, I don't know of many disagreements between you and I. I think you're a right fine fellow, but some of your friends, not so much.

I don't think that is exactly what you saw because web-marketing.pl is 5 on the screencap
