I lost my rankings - now what?

Hey guys,

Just a heads up to all those people/website owners who lost their rankings in the latest Titanic Update (aka Penguin Update). Don't worry guys just keep doing the good stuff and the rankings will start coming back. Keep in mind hard work doesn't goes in vain. Don't repeat the mistakes you made till now.

That's it guys. Just thought to cheer up you all and give some sense of motivation.

LOL, you call that motivation! Its more than likely going to put them threw a state of suicidal depression. I've got a better motivation speech for all the poor souls that fell pray to the Penguin black hat algorithm update. How about - STOP spamming, using unethical, over aggressive means of trying to manipulate the search with all your black hat webspam techniques. I salute Penguin for crashing all your dumpster websites and making place for real honest, unique, original, compelling, relevant white hat sites.

The content on my sites are informative and relevant to the searches made. Is this penguin update sophisticated enough to see that?

Or do I have something to worry about if every header tag has my keyword phrase inside it

I agree with manish pandey i lost mine, i dropped past 100 in google.co.uk and to position two in google.com. A few hours later it went to position 7 .co.uk & 2 .com now everything is back in position one,mine took about 50 hours to go back to normal. Everything is white hat no spun content bad links or anything along those lines.

If you think you H1s are missing then perhaps it's time you put something on them. Just to make sure you're using 100% of what is known in the SEO world.

According to Google, If your site lost ranking around 4-24 and later it's a good chance you've been hit by the new Penguin algorithm that rolled out a few days ago. The Penguin algorithms objective is targeting webspam, which includes, Little, poor or duplicate content, Hidden text, Keyword stuffing, Clocking, Link spam and schemes.

Take a look at the issues above, correct the problems then send Google and request for re-inclusion by going to your Webmaster Tools

I think you misunderstood what I meant. I was afraid of getting slapped by penguin for keyword stuffing. In the title, meta tags, all my header tags (1-6) and in about 25% of the content I have close to the same keyword phrase.

My site has not been affected. In fact, I went up 3 ranks over the past few days(some of my competition got hit).

My sites have all improved. I think if you stay away from black hat techniques it you should be right. If you have gone down don't stress just start making some good links and you'll be back their in know time.

Now days, Google Panda Update very fast and with spam remove techniques. May be some backlinks websites are banned by Google. So need to do more work and Good work for get new high rank. Don't use black hat techniques. Link Building is most imp.part but It's take more time to give ranking.

Congrats to the guys who didn't lose the rankings. Guys who did, if you can think of the bad things you've done in the past. If possible try to undo all of them or as much as you can and then give Google a reconsideration request. Don't worry guys, you'll come out shining.

Last few days, Everyone was talking about google web spam[Penguin] algorithm and comment on this update. Google every time try to remove or prevent spam activity in search results. But some error everyone remains same. Many webmasters are showing spam sites in google top 10 results. Yeah, This update have mix reviews. Thanks

That entire notion of fighting spam seems to be not working. Penguin is in love with spun contents, scrapper and blank sites. There isn't mixed reviews anywhere. Majority of the SEO people are now talking about how this is a mistake. Google is now more manipulative than ever. 3 days ago, I found many seo sites wrote about the bad sites that are now on the top. Guess what? They are not showing up on Google anymore.

The update is really giving random results. Don't think that your site was hit because it had bad contents. Google only gave thought to what is good for them. They have their own formula:

bad or no content+(frustrated visitor*adsense on the webpage)= more money
no relevant result*adsense on Google page= more money
big sites+adsense(small sites+adword)= more money

ranking of my website also get disappear and i never use any spam technique to promote it or neither my site has less quality content..So really for me this update is bad dream and i am hoping that i can see my website soon on top pages

Our website has not been punished, because our basic no SPAM, our BACKLINK constitutes a main BLOG and Forum, our BLOG has no SPIN, all write their own articles.
