How to resolve duplicate URLs?

Hi,

In my one website having more than 10 pages have same page content and header banner image only different for that pages and page URLs are generated using java script with dynamically. i didn't share my original website files see my example pages are

www.example.com/business-management.html?business=1&vertical=45
www.example.com/business-management.html?business=1&vertical=46

Is it consider duplicate content by Search Engine and affecting seo, If yes means please guide to how to resolve the issue.

Sometimes crawlers automatically detects the pattern of auto generated or similar looking urls to avoid duplicate contents but you can also resolve the issue from your Google Webmasters account or through the robots.txt file.

You can used Canonical tag. Simply using canonical URL for duplicate content page. Google and other search engine only read canonical url. Thanks

Indeed the solution is canonicalization and the 301 redirect. Your website's URLs are dynamic URL.

Problem #3: Dynamic URLs
Allow me to illustrate. All of the following URLs could lead to the same content:

• http://www.mysite.com/somepage.html?param1=abc
• http://www.mysite.com/somepage.html?param1=abc&dest=goog
• http://www.mysite.com/somepage.html?param1=abc&dest=goog&camp=111
• http://www.mysite.com/somepage.html?param1=abc&dest=goog&camp=111&id=423

Now what if I start rearranging the parameters? Well, they’ll still show the same content. So, as you might imagine, this can create a lot of wasted link value.

Use canonical tag as suggested by above members or else you can generate new seo frdly urls (via htaccess) and then give 301 redirect old urls to those new urls so that your new urls get the benefits of old urls which are already ranking

Activate google webmaster tool on your website. In Webmaster you can find crawler access tab at the right side of navigation page. On the crawler access page you can find third tab which is url removal function. Use that tool to apply for url removal process. Google will update your indexed data in 24-48 hours after your request they receive.

Canonical Tag is helpful to resolve the error of duplicate URL and Google cannot consider a site as two different domains.

Yes, this will be considered as duplicate content, because content on both the pages are appreciably similar.
A few ways of avoiding duplicate issue,
- Set up canonical tag
- Make one URL not index
- Block crawlers in robots.txt files for one URL
