I just hope a few folks take a few bit's of advice from the linked blog post and be careful when hiring a company that is cheap. The cheap companys are the ones that get a red flag from me.

Well I don't know about other ecommerce owners, but when we started Natural Elements we underestimate all the work we needed to do and had some costly try and errors.
I never find something like a full basic manual on how starting an e-commerce with stock and everything in between. There are different types of ecommerce of course which are more or less complicated to run by their structure. For example ebay store, or yahoo store is different than drop shipping ecommerce or like mine a very small retail ecommerce.
SEO for these types of ecommerce are different and for example a ebay store or yahoo store will have more SEO weight than a regular store just because they are on a reputable platform.
You have also similar platform which are integrating a marketing program like Network Solutions.
I mean SEO or SEM could be integrated in the platform with all the tools needed to run an ecommerce compared to a full independent configuration like ours.
