This post is more focused on keyword usage in content. Also as per me keyword selection plays very important role for getting search engine traffic. Many times people see thousands of searches on broad keyword and select that but in fact that keyword exact search volume is less than 200. And some keyword actually showing 0 or less than 10 search volume but it can drive quality traffic on your website.

The article is focused about (relevant, searchable and share-able) content, proper keyword selection and optimizing the images. That article caught me off guard, many points hit and I accepted it freely, though. Whenever I had a chance I am doing proper image optimization and adding proper tags in every articles I'm uploading. Though I know it's not enough and the major player is a web developer really knows the twists and turns of language used to built our website.
I think one thing also affects why a website is not getting search engine traffic is the off-line presence. This idea might sound useless but I know establishing off-line effort is worth doing.

For getting search engine traffic, we must focus on getting appropriate number of keywords spread across the article and then focus on getting multiple number of backlinks. Also, these backlinks should point to inner pages as well rather than getting backlink only for the top URL. It definitely helps in good rankings.

I found number five surprising. 2,000 words per blog post? I had always thought that blog posts were supposed to be shorter. I will have to reconsider my publication strategy as I was planning for my blog posts to be in the 500-800 word range and then have a separate section of the website for longer articles.
Are there any other thoughts on number five?

what exactly I can understand that keyword density in content can hurt rankings, I never try to increase keywords density in articles or in my website content, therefore 70% of my website traffic comes through Search Engines

Great informative article it has. I had also some issues regarding not getting traffic to my site. But now everything is clear.
One thing I want to ask. In this post, the author say that if you are not using wordpress then also the site will not get traffic. My site is not on wordpress, then will it not get traffic?

Don't worry about the WordPress part, the author of the article is a big WordPress fan and just recommending it. You can still get traffic to your website if you are not using WordPress. The benifit of using self hosted WordPress is that you can add some SEO type plugins that will make the whole blog SEO friendly and also if the theme you are using is coded correctly, it will help with some SEO stuff. Search engine bot's seem to Crawl blogs more often then regular websites. This just my opinion.
If you need any SEO advice, create a thread with some questions and mention the software your website runs on.

That was a good read and I'm definitely going to start using that keyword tool to create content based around highly searched keywords.

Definitely. Some think that all that off-line work is too old school because a lot of people are accessing the Internet more than they are looking at TV ads and print media. That doesn't mean that the classic off-line methods are useless now, though. I also think that off-line presence is something that you should look into. The biggest brands out there didn't start on the Internet to begin with.
